Dorothy's Cardinal Feeder is sure to attract bright red cardinals to your
backyard. The adjustable dome protects food from weather, and can be moved up or down to control the size of the
birds accessing the bird feeder.
Cleaning: Dirty bird feeders spread disease. We recommend cleaning your feeders weekly, or
monthly at a minimum. Do not put your feeder in the dishwasher as the high temperatures can permanently damage the
feeder parts. Clean your feeders outdoors with a large bucket, and always wear gloves when cleaning. Soak your
feeder in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach for 15 minutes. Then use a bird feeder brush to scrub the feeder with
dish soap and water. Refill when completely dry.
WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Bisphenol A (BPA), which is known to the State
of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to http://www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
We upgraded to this feeder because the larger birds figured out how to knock bird seed out of our old feeder. This feeder seems to do the trick and only small birds are entering due to the small opening under the dome. Certainly quality construction. Only issue was the collar and thumb screw that held up the dome. It is plastic and was slipping from the first use and did not hold up the heavy plastic dome. We eventually got a 1/4 inch bore metal collar from home depot along with a #10-32 thumb screw ($3) which works perfectly.
Outstanding!! A mess up by my children yielded me two new feeders.
One replaces a 20 year plus old Yankee Droll feeder of similar design but smaller. Still in service though.
I couldn't be happier. Great product Great service
I use this feeder when it is raining or snowing, so that birds have some cover from weather.
It is a bit hard to place seeds on tray with scoop without spilling, since the top portion doesn't go up high enough. I tried unscrewing the top off and then placing seeds on tray, but then it is a problem screwing it back on to hang without spilling seeds.
