Cleaning: Dirty bird feeders spread disease. We recommend cleaning your feeders weekly, or
monthly at a minimum. Do not put your feeder in the dishwasher as the high temperatures can permanently damage the
feeder parts. Clean your feeders outdoors with a large bucket, and always wear gloves when cleaning. Soak your
feeder in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach for 15 minutes. Then use a bird feeder brush to scrub the feeder with
dish soap and water. Refill when completely dry.
Just the best feeder going ,in my opinion. As stated by others, ease of cleaning, all 6 stations can be occupied at all times. I bought a second one !!!
These have been our primary feeders for the past five years. All six perches still have seeds even when the seed amount is dwindling. Some of the best we’ve ever owned.
I bought this a few years ago to add to the 5 or 6 feeders in my yard. It has become the centerpiece and hangs in the best viewing spot from the house and deck. Very easy to take apart and clean thoroughly inside and out with soft cloth and mild detergent. It feeds evenly to all perches which are also adjustable to accommodate all types of small to medium birds. All the perches are almost always in use at the same time.
I purchased this feeder over 10 years ago and it has been in constant use since that time. This is a very durable feeder. The perches support weight quite well even when extended their full length and have never broken. They even support medium sized Woodpeckers clinging from them.
Cleaning is easy and simple as stated. The perches and port hoods are removable for cleaning as well.
The ports do not clog and are distributed so that they can all be used at the same time without the birds being crowded. My experience is that birds will pass by my other feeders and choose this one.
Overall I couldn't be happier with this product.
This feeder has separate compartments which mean that every perch has their own supplies. This means that you will have birds on all the perches.
It easily snaps open for cleaning. Its the easiest to clean and to fill.
I own 5 of these and have retired my tube ones. I still have a house feeder with suet on it. But otherwise I use More Birds exclusively.
The ONLY complaint and warning I will give you is that be careful when you push the plastic clips that hold the two halves together. I broke off one and thus eventually replaced the feeder. More Birds, please make this connecting snap more robust.
I drill three holes in the bottom skirt and hang a tray under it. It catches the bird discarded seeds and allows more birds to pick through the shells for more food.
I had one of these and loved it - accommodates many birds and distributes the feed evenly to all stations which other bird feeders dont. Havent found one half as good.
This is the second Abundance feeder I have purchased. Always full of birds and accommodates all types. Very easy to fill and clean as others have stated. To my delight, replacement parts were available from More Birds and I was able to make my older feeder good as new! Nice to have two of these wonderful feeders.
This is my second niger feeder, and when this is old I will get another. I love the way that the seed funnels down to each feeding station so that there are no lost corners and all stations have seed without running out before any of the others for very consistent feeding. It is also easy to clean in the dishwasher by taking the two halves apart. I bought my first one at Southern States, but they are not carrying this model any more, so I hunted it down.
The main reason I bought this particular feeder is the easy way it can be cleaned. The squirrels still try to get into it, but so far they’ve been unsuccessful. Everyone knows how clever they are… The flickers like the seed better than the suet, but the little birds get i there too. I’ll probably buy more of this feeder in the spring.
