Cleaning Brush & Port Cleaner
When you are feeding so many hungry hummingbirds, it is important to make sure your feeding stations are always clean. The Perky-Pet® 2-in-1 Cleaning Brush & Port Cleaner is a convenient multi-purpose brush combo that will help you prevent buildup of harmful mold and water residue. The cleaning brush features flexible spiral bristles that are made of soft plastic so they won't scratch your delicate feeders.
The long-handled cleaning brush allows you to effectively clean the hard-to-reach spaces of any tube feeder, including the Perky-Pet® 4 ft Hummerbar! This 2-in-1 brush also includes a smaller brush that is perfect for scrubbing feeding ports. With this easy-to-use tool, your resident birds will always have access to a fresh, clean food supply.
For best results, provide your hummingbirds with Perky-Pet®'s 100% sucrose formula Nectar. Sucrose-based nectar is the ideal food for hummers since it converts to energy quicker.
Only fill the Hummerbar® about half-full. Overfilling the Hummerbar® can cause leakage.

Review RateProduct Fail
A total fail. This feeder is impossible to balance and it leaks with the slightest breeze. A huuuge waste of money.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. This feeder should be hung from two points that are 90° above the cord eyelets. We recommend hanging from two shepherd’s hooks or from two hooks on a porch awning. The feeder should also be placed in an area that receives partial sun and is sheltered from strong winds.

Review RateFun change from the usual feeder.
A bit awkward to set up, but once it's up the hummers love it. Sad point is that the local bear loves it too. He's managed to drink it dry twice without ruining it, but I think it only has one more life.
Review Ratepositive and informational
Not my favorite. It is difficult to put in a position to be balanced so that it won't leak. So far the the hummingbirds are not very interested. But maybe in the future. I think my Hummingbirds are a bit scared so far. My feeder doesn't leak as was previously reported and it helps to have a second person to assist in the initial placement. I am happy with the product and will allow a full season to allow my humming birds to make theirs. So far I get 1-2 hummingbirds a day to try it. So it is getting more attention, happy happy
bought this feeder last year, can't keep it from leaking from both ends. keep pushing in the ends and twisting to get it to stop leaking, unable to keep it from leaking, tossing it in garbage. Dissatisfied with feeder. leaks all over the porch and is great for feeding ants.Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateNot happy
Hello- I have 14 humming bird feeders in my yard! I dont understand the purpose of sticking that 12 inch label on the outside of the hummerbar! It will not come off! I've tried, it looks awful and is very sticky! I would buy more if this was not on there!! I don't understand why you can't put that inside the bar with the other information or a hanging tag!Response From Perky-Pet®Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We apologize for this experience and are happy to assist. To clean the sticker from the feeder, we recommend soaking the feeder tube in a mild soap and water solution. Scrub the tube with a non-abrasive sponge to help remove the sticker.

Review RateProduct FAIL
Frustrated that I spent $$ on something that in theory should have been awesome! Why the big sticker? Why the poor instructions? Long story short, the amount of time and effort it took to get the feeder to the point of use was ridiculous (and I'm no stranger to setting up feeders)!Response From Perky-Pet®Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateDoes not work!
I agree with the other reviewers, THIS FEEDER IS A MESS right from the start. The label is all but impossible to remove and then when you do finally get it removed the area remains cloudy. Next hanging to get it level is the next challenge. The feeder is light weight a swings in wind. The after all this I have only seen 1 humming bird drinking from it in about 6 mo. I generally hang about 5 -6, 4-cup feeders that I fill daily so lack of hummingbirds is not the problem. I removed my 4 cup feeders for a week and still they did not want to drink from this feeder. The birds would go to where the other feeders were, but not drink from this new one. This new feeder is just junk. Perky Pert generally has great feeders, but I do not understand how thus hit the market. Didn't anyone test it out? I generally take things I no longer want and that are still In good condition, but this I threw in the trash. No one deserves to have junk like this. I will think twice before I try a new type of feeder from Perky Pet next time and I will be sure to keep my receipt. Save yourself a big headache and stick with the tried and true feeders. ( I gave this 1 star, only because there was no option of zero stars.)
Review RateHunk of Plastic Junk?
Agree with all about the label. I used some essential oil mixture to get it off and didn't hurt the feeder much. It was a little difficult to fill, since you had to do it hanging, instead of being able to take it down and fill it in the house. have had it up a few days and I don't think there has been a bird near it. I know they have long beaks, but I am not sure they could reach the food if they came. I filled it half full as the instructions say, but I feel the normal feeder has the juice in closer proximity to the flower feeders. The birds I have had liked to perch on my other feeder. No perches here. I too, looked at this more than once before getting sucked into buying it. I am always shopping for a bargain and a feed store had these marked down, No wonder!Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Hummingbirds have long bills and tongues that can reach deep into flowers to find nectar. Our feeders are designed to provide a similar experience for the hummingbirds.
Birds are creatures of habit and can take some time to become accustomed to a new feeder. Temporarily removing other established feeders can aid in the transition. Our feeders are covered by a 30 day return policy and a one year replacement warranty. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.
Review RateLabel problem
The label is impossible to get off without leaving a sticky, cloudy film on the tube. I will find out if it effects the feeding of the hummers. Please do something about the label!Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateDo not buy
Do not buy this feeder. It's nothing but a mess, a hassle, and attracts ants. The hummingbirds never go to it. Bringing it inside to empty and clean was dfficult as the feed leaked when it was being taken down, any time it's off level of course. Cleaning it was a chore as it grew mold on the inside of the tube. I tried to run a washcloth on the inside and that broke the ports. Wish I could get a credit to buy another type of feeder. This was a waste of money. :(Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Hummingbird Feeders - FAQs
Q: What criteria should I use when selecting a hummingbird feeder?

Q: Where is the best place to hang my new hummingbird feeder?
A: Place your hummingbird feeder away from sun and wind. The sun may cause the mixture to turn bad and the wind may swing the feeder around, causing the mixture to spill. More»
Q: How do I attract hummingbirds to my feeder?
A: Hummingbirds will find your nectar feeder, although there are some steps you can take to help the tiny birds find it sooner. Tying a red ribbon on the feeder wire or pole will help them locate it. More»
