I love these feeders except the stands are too far away from the base for the hummingbirds to sit.
Review RateIs there help coming to solve this problem?
I purchased 3 of the 4 port and 3 of the 6 port Perky Feeders. My problem with both is the perch. The Ruby Throat is the only hummer we have in the eastern US and one of the smaller HB. It cannot feed without being on the wing. I still have some of the older feeders but can't get port flowers for replacing the old ones. BY FAR the hummers prefer the older feeders. The bee guard is good however you must redesign this perch problem, please.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateAngle off because of the bee guard and thickness of base.
I have used the pinch waist bottles for over 20 years, but this new design does not work for the birds. They have to hover to eat. The old design allowed them to sit on the little perch and drink. Now, since the base is thicker and there is a nipple-like bee guard, the angle is all off for the birds. If they sit on the perch they cannot then get their bill in the hole, they have to lift off the perch and hover to do that.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

I have used this style, namely model 210, for years. I tried other shapes with and without perches but prefer this model. Evidently I am not wrong due to the activity of hummingbirds I have.
Review RateNot My Feeder!
I bought four. All four leaked between the two pieces of the base. I have gone back to the small necked 8 oz feeders which I love and the hummingbirds must like them also. I feed 8 to 10 ozs each day. I use small bottle brushes to clean them with no problem.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We recommend keeping the base and the bottle assembled tightly to form a vacuum seal. The feeders should also be kept out of the direct sunlight and hung level. We apologize for this experience. Review RateExcellent feeders; happy HUMMERS!
I've purchased several brands over hummingbird feeders over the years; but now I only buy Perky-Pet feeders. They seem diligent in improving design from year to year, and this year is the best yet! So easy to thoroughly clean with minimal components and the little Hummers are picky about fresh food. We have 7 large Perky-Pet feeders out this year and dozens of happy Hummingbirds. Thank you from me and the birds!

Love this new (at least to me) design. Easy to clean, efficient. Hummers love it!

Review RateNeed replacement flat petals
Ruby Throat Hummingbirds (Virginia) do not like the new style raised petal. Been feeding hummingbirds for 30 years. The birds prefer the old style flat petal , they drink about 30 percent more and faster (the older style has never leaked)Response From Perky-Pet®Anthony : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateGreat new feeder design from a very reliable company and excellent customer care.
Perky Pet in our opinion has greatly improved upon their old design. The wide mouth and two piece base allow for a thorough cleaning. Plus, the ant trap location on the design works great! Additionally, our shipment arrived with a broken perch on one of the bases. Perky Pet sent a replacement within days by UPS. We are retired and live at 9000 ft elevation and have always used Perky Pet! Our hummingbirds love them!
