Review RateMale and female orioles will feed with this...
This feeder is great. I received it as a gift early in the summer. I hung it where the orioles were flying over and filled in with the suggested clear water and sugar mixture. I filled my large bird bath with water and within days orioles found my Perky Pet feeder. This one has the extra pieces to keep bees out which is a must. Male and female orioles were feeding on this from early morning until end of day. It was fun to get to watch them. I highly recommend this feeder for you or as a gift. Great product.
Review RateThe birds love it but difficult to clean and breaks easily!
This is an update to my earlier review, after 8 weeks of use. The orioles are using this feeder which is great! The feeder is difficult to clean - I have mildew in both the base (which I cannot access physically) and the top portion (which you can get a little mop cleaner into). My concern is that I have only had the feeder for a couple of months and already I am experiencing mildew build-up. A redesign is in order for the base to come completely apart for easy cleaning and a wider opening to the top part for better air circulation when it is washed. Also, the plastic is rigid and breaks easily. Within 3 weeks, a squirrel had broken one perch while the feeder was hanging in a tree and a week later, the feeder was actually knocked to the ground by a squirrel and a second perch broke off. A softer, more resilient plastic should be used for durability.Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

To aid in cleaning hard-to-reach places, some uncooked rice can be added to warm water in the base. Then cover the opening and shake vigorously. The rice will help to loosen ant stubborn spots.

Review RateThe Orioles are using it!
I have been using this feed for several weeks now and I am very happy with it. Orioles come by and actually stay to drink their fill.
Review RateWonderful Oriole Feeders
I have been using this feeder for years. It is the best ever. The orioles love it. I usually have 3 to 5 of these feeders up. I think all the orioles in the area come to feed. I have tried others but I get fewer orioles. They are wonderful gifts for bird lovers.
Review RateLove this feeder, have three of them.
This is my favorite oriole feeder. The orioles feed at it on a daily basis and never seem to fight over it like they do with smaller perched feeders. The hummingbirds find it to be a favorite also. It is easy to clean and fill and replacement parts are readily available.
Review RateOrioles and hummers love it.
Great product! The Orioles were enjoying the feeder within 3 days. The hummers also use it although it hangs right next to their feeder, but everyone seems happy. Also, I have not had any problems with bees.
Review RateSave your money - flimsy!
I'm giving this a 2 because the orioles really liked it but if I could give a 0 for construction, I would. The second time I filled it (halfway so it wouldn't be so heavy) it slipped out of my hands and dropped onto the hedge below. When I picked it up, I saw one of the arms had broken off! This isn't dropping on a hard-surface patio or something similar; it was soft shrubbery for heaven's sake!Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RatePUSH bee guards into place - do not try to slide.
There were no instructions on how to install bee guards. I had to call Cust Serv.. It is simple! Just push in place. I thought they might slide and was afraid I'd break them if I pushed. We have a big bee problem. Hope they work!
Review RateBirds Love it!The Perky-Pet Deluxe Oriole Feeder is preferred by the birds on my farm. I have more than one feeder but the birds flock to this one, hummingbirds & Orioles alike. The perch allows hummingbirds to drink, plus block the hungry bees. Then the Orioles light & their weight lowers the perch to reveal the larger hole to accommodate their beaks & they share. Our porch is a happy, busy place all season long.
Review RateGreat Oriole FeederThis was the second Oriole feeder I bought from Perky-Pet and am very pleased with the products, speedy delivery and their customer service.
