I have 2 of these feeders. They both leak out all the hummingbird food within an hour o hanging. They are screwed on tightly, but still leak.

Purchased 2 of these feeders, after 1 plus year it is discolored and rusting. Not worth the money. Contacted Perky-Pet regarding the listed issues, was told that the 1 year warranty was up and offered 15% off next purchase. These feeders are not usable as the hummingbirds come to the feeder, but leave right away.

I would not leave even one star if ilI could avoid it. This is a terrible feeder which does not contain the liquid at all--it all leaks out of the bottom with even the slightest movement, as in, say, lifting it from the sink or walking to the patio to hang it up. Reasonable uses the item. Required even. I am utterly disgusted with the replies to the 100+ other reviews wherein the company claims it is customer error. THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW. Really bad look guys.

I have actually purchased 2..both defective. The first leaked and we assumed it was human error, then when attempting to tighten the base the entire top of the bottle broke off. Purchase number two, same leaking where the metal and plastic meet it does not seal. Wish I had read the reviews before the second purchase. I emailed the company and got the same response as many others. This is a flaw in the design and I do not want another but do wish they would correct it for those purchasing in the future

Like many others, my feeder rusted beyond use in just a few months. Using Copper in the description is a misleading marketing ploy. It is copper colored steel and yes, it rusts. I have been a Perky Pet user for decades and I am sorely disappointed in the drop in the quality of the products in the past few years. The newer plastic based feeders crack and leak in warm weather. The design is good otherwise and the birds were all over it. This will likely be my last purchase of a perky pet product.

I like the elegant copper/glass hummingbird feeder but the glass tube that holds the food cracked and leaks. I wish they sold the replacement part but I can't find it anywhere.

I Several years ago, I purchased two of the Elegant Copper Hummingbird Feeder, Brand #710B. I love the design: Wide Mouth Glass, metal top, metal circular perch and metal anti-bee feeding ports. I especially like the anti-bee feature of the feeding ports. This feeder has it all...but...and this is sad...the metal oxidizes (rusts) within a month. I purchased two more this week (August of 2025), but prior to using, is there a product you would recommend coating the metal with that will NOT harm the Hummingbirds and prevent the rusting? It would be the GREAT if you could choose a metal (with the same great looks) that will not oxidize. I have tried many (and I mean many!) Hummingbird Feeders. This one is the best. Hopefully you will consider choosing a metal that will not oxidize. Please no plastic! I see other reviews state the feeder leaks. Mine does not. I do tip it to keep the sugar water level adequate for the hummers and it will leak when I tip, but this is to be expected. I then spray with a water hose to wash the sugar water from the base. This alleviates the bees from sniffing around. I should add, the Anti-Bee port is GREAT keeping the bees at bay. I have learned to be careful when tipping the feeder and the leakage is minimal if any at all.

This feeder has a failed design. The hummingbirds’ tongues cannot reach the food. The food will stay at the same level for months! Whomever bought one these should be given a full refund.

The metal lid starts leaking and it rusts inside which isn't good for the birds. Its too bad there are no replacement parts so you don't have to throw out the whole thing

Bought two of these and when cleaning with water for first time use they both leaked where the top joins the bottom base. There is no gasket just a loose fit between the two. What an inferior product. Will take back and hope to get a refund and buy another brand.
