Why are your perches plastic?? I have 2 of your green feeders with locking lids from 40+ years ago. STILL working great, all metal. I was really excited to finally find similar feeders, but NO plastic.

Can you purchase extra plastic perches for the Green Metal Tube Wild Bird Feeder? Squirrels chewed up two of them and it would be great to just replace these as opposed to buying a new bird feeder.
