Review RateCan't afford to pay to replace my old feeders that work fine. Too much $..
I've been looking for a long time for replacement parts for my 30 oz. glass, bottom filling feeders. I was very distressed to learn that Perky-Pet managers don't care what our replacement costs are, but I can't afford to buy new feeders. I like the old ones. But until you begin making the old feeders again, you have lost me as a customer. All I needed was the plastic coated hanging wire. Not worth the money for your new failures.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateThis one leaks
Another leaky story. I just recently bought this feeder at a local farm store. IT LEAKS from the bottom, and I put it together correctly and screwed it as tight as I dared. After I washed it, I even made sure the edges of the sections were completely dry before putting it together and it still leaks. I don't put a lot of nectar in because it gets wasted. An oriole and the hummers drink from the bottom instead of the 'flowers'. Even for $17.99, it should function properly. I have another style that works perfectly and never leaks. I'll probably end up getting another one of those. I could use that $17.99.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateThis Is The Best Feeder!
This feeder is ideal! It is the new type, we had the old ones with glass and four perches but only holds 16 oz., one which we are still using. Our orioles use the feeder along with the hummingbirds in the early spring. We just take out the yellow flowerettes and replace them after the oriels leave when their young are raised. When we ordered this feeder, it came damaged and Perkey Pet sent another one. The next one arrived with all parts bubbled wrapped! We love the 30 oz. size and the perches all around the bottle. It, also, has an S hook but we use the covered wire to hook it to the bottle. The covered wire hanger then has a loop which we hang on the hook from the eaves. Buy it, you will love it.

My birds don't like these feeders either. Please go back to the old design!Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative
We appreciate your feedback! These comments have been shared with our Product Managers. Birds are creatures of habit, and it can take time for them to acclimate to a new feeder. We recommend removing any established feeders until the new one is being used consistently. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for assistance.
Review RateThese are the best
I have 15 of these feeders. Obviously I think that they are great. They don't leak. People that have leaking problems aren't putting them together correctly. I have two kinds of these. One has a longer necked bottle and the plastic parts aren't interchangable. I recommend these to everyone that wants hummers.
Review RateBirds don't like new design
For over ten years I have been feeding hundreds of Ruby Throated hummingbirds using both the 209 and the Grand Master feeders. I put out 12-15 feeders and must fill all of them every 1-2 days. When I tried to buy replacement tubes for the Grand Masters I was unable to because you no longer sell replacement parts for them, so I must throw away perfectly good bases. I decided to replace the Grand Masters with more 209 feeders. I put out eight 209 feeders and four 209b feeders. The birds tried to use the 209b, but went from port to port without getting anything. All the syrup in those feeders spoiled. I cut off the extension on the bee guard and filled them again. Same thing - a gallon of spoiled syrup. Over the following winter I enlarged the holes that feed the syrup into the moat. Last summer with the adjustments I made, some birds used the 209b, but I don't think the juvenile birds can reach the syrup level since their beaks are not fully grown. I still can not fill them all the way or some syrup will spoil. Go back to the old design. The new one is garbage!Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateGood except perch
I purchased thru Walmart. I sent back the first due to perch was broken and in pieces. They sent a second one. This had 2 areas on perch that are also broken. Too much hassle to send back again and will just superglue it. Between the packaging and flimsy plastic, it is not a good perch. Too bad
Review RateBring the Old Feeder Back
I much prefer the narrow opening bottle that this one replaced, and so do the hummingbirds. This one has to be burped constantly or the hummers cannot feed from it.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative
We are sorry to hear that you feeder is getting airlocked! Try loosening the connection between the reservoir and the base a bit, this may alleviate that problem. Review RateWhere's the Silicon Collar?
I guess I have a number of your earlier models where the plastic base and the glass nectar container screwed together with a silicone circle/washer in between. That way you could compress the feeder to the base creating a leakproof seal. Why did you get rid of the silicone collar for all your newer models?Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for this feedback! Our feeders are constantly being improved, and new designs have proved that they do not need the silicone gasket. We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for assistance. We are happy to help!
Review RateTerrible design
design is flawed. base leaks! You may think you are feeding birds when in fact food is leaking out & if you try screwing on tighter no food is released in to moat. bee guard is a joke. have picture with swarm of bees on feeder.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative
We are sorry to hear that you have not experienced the success we typically see with this hummingbird feeder! To prevent leaks, we recommend placing this feeder in a location that is not in direct sunlight, which can cause the nectar to expand and consequently the feeder to leak. We have shared your valuable feedback with our Product Managers. This feeder is covered by our 30-day guarantee and a 1-year replacement policy.
