I purchased this feeded because of tge bit was supposed to prevent bees from getting to feeder holes for tge hummingbirds.What a joke!! The bees get into tge screen and block the feeder hokes.

I like the feeder but the base cracks when trying to tighten it on the glass

i agree with the other people mine drip some the elements eat the cap it breaks and falls but my birds love them of all the feeders i have these are the most visited So yes parts for these would be great

I read the "leak" reviews and saw the response from Perky-Pet to tighten the base. I tried multiple times but no matter how tight I screwed the base to the glass all 3 of the feeders I purchased leaked. I even had other birds coming to drink from the "flowers" because there was a constant flow of fluid.

My hummingbirds love this feeder. Unfortunately the base that they drink out of leaks. I bought 2 thinking 1 may have just been a bad one. But nope, one leaks through the flower area, the other one leaks through the red part. I want to love them. But seems to be a waste.

I love that the feeder is glass although I am very disappointed that it leaks like a sieve from the flowers. I have a sticky mess all over my deck and I worry about the sugary solution attracting ants. I should have read the reviews before buying it!????‍♀️

THESE FEEDERS ARE THE BEST AND CAN EASILY LAST FOR 10 YEARS ! the plastic tops and bottoms DO NOT CRACK or leak, if you just BARELY TIGHTEN them. the feeders only leak from the feeding holes when the nectar is warming up, because the nectar is expanding as it warms. in summer, keep them in sheltered shade or on the east side of your house. cover the jar part with a "chimney" made of aluminum foil loosely wrapped around and open on top to reflect sunlight and let warm air out. in winter, (or temperatures below zero Celsius) hang a foil pie pan of incandescent Christmas lights 3 inches underneath the feeder using 4 wires attached to your hanging hook, (not to the feeder itself). the weight of the lights should not be on the feeder. keep the lights on (day and night) thru freezing temperatures. turn them off if the outdoor temperature goes above 5 degrees Celsius, and on again when the temperature drops to 5 degrees. this helps prevent extreme temperature fluctuations that cause the holes to leak. if the plastic hanging loop on the top of the feeder breaks (never had this happen), you can replace it. drill 2 small adjacent holes in the top and string some wire through to form a new loop. hope this helps.

I actually love these feeders & it's the only one the hummingbirds will feed from in my yard. The problem is the plastic loop on the cap cracks/breaks after a few months outside, otherwise this would be a 5 star review. I get it, when exposed to the elements and the weight of birds feeding, plastic will crack & break. I would absolutely change this review to 5 stars if Perky Pet sold replacement parts for these feeders at a reasonable price. It seems like such a waste to throw away a perfectly good feeder because there no way to hang it up.

This rating ONLY because the plastic feeding station cracks easily and this business does not offer replacement parts! You are forced the added expense of purchasing a new one every single time the plastic cracks! Being a senior on a fixed income and who LOVES to feed Humming birds, this particular model seems to be wasteful and not very good for the environment. Okay, I guess it forces me to find a different feeder model, possibly a different business! SAVE YOUR MONEY and don't purchase this model no. 203CPBN because they do not sell replacement parts!

Cracked Hanger Loops: In full disclosure, I am a consulting engineer with a law degree who has been hired to represent a flock of disgruntled Anna's hummingbirds. My clients pooled their money to purchase 2 each of model 203CPBN. The flock is very disappointed in their purchase decision because the plastic hangers have cracked on both of the feeders (after the warranty period expired). In regards to the performance of the product, the crack in the hanger loop prevents the feeder from remaining securely attached to the hook. Based on several other product reviews, this failure mode appears to be a known and systemic reliability issue (not just for this model but others as well). Evidently, the Perky Pet organization struggles with understanding how to design, develop and test products before releasing to the market. More puzzling, is that the Perky Pet organization fails a second time by not offering a retrofit solution for the cracked hanger loops and fails a third time by not providing the opportunity to purchase enhanced replacement parts. As a result, my clients will not be purchasing from Perky Pet in the future. Additionally, my clients are researching the viability of starting a competitive business which offers reliable feeders and replacement parts to the masses.
