Perky-Pet® Pinch-Waist Plastic Hummingbird Feeder

Bright colors attract hummingbirds and this feeder has enough bright red to attract hummingbirds from near and far! The Perky-Pet® Pinch Waist Plastic Hummingbird Feeder promises hours of enjoyment as you watch the hummingbirds happily sip nectar and dart about.

8-Ounce Capacity & 4 Feeding Stations - Holding up to 8 ounces of nectar, this hummingbird feeder features a red plastic bottle with a pinched waist and a wide mouth for easy filling and cleaning. The feeder's design also includes four flower-shaped feeding stations, each with a resting perch and a built-in bee guard to protect the nectar supply. The feeder also comes with a built-in ant moat on the top (simply fill with water to keep ants away).

Easy to Clean - Keep the feeder clean and filled with fresh nectar to ensure return visits from satisfied hummingbirds. In addition to its wide mouth opening, this hummingbird feeder's base and ports come apart to ensure convenient access and thorough cleaning. The bee guards also snap open, making washing the feeder easier. We recommend cleaning the hummingbird feeder at least twice a week, more often in very warm climates or seasons.

Hummers like it, bees love it and take over. By Cathy

I filled it right away and it didn't take long for the Hummers to start using it. The problem is that the bees are on it constantly now and they drive the birds away. Very disappointing.

We apologize for this experience. To help deter the bees, we recommend moving the feeders periodically. Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions.

This is a great feeder! By DebbieMcPA

I love this feeder. I don't know if it's the red color or not, but I have 4 other feeders that are clear & bigger & I have gotten more hummingbirds at this feeder, since I put it up, than the other ones do. I have no problems with it leaking & I like that it is smaller than my other ones, since they don't go through all the nectar I could put in the larger ones. I think I may just have to replace them with more of these.

Feeder Awaits Hummingbird Customers By statoj

The Hummingbird Feeder is very attractive; it was easy to assemble (i.e., adding the nectar) and hang from my front awning. Sadly, it has been two weeks and no hummingbirds have found it yet, but I intend to be patient. :)

Smaller feeders work better than larger feeders. By Bruce

I have never had a problem with this feeder leaking, I have 5 of these feeders up and being used year round. I would say to the people that have leaking feeders that when you put the base on to screw it on until it is snug ( Don't over tighten it ). Tightening it too tight will cause it to leak.

Leaks with constant dripping no matter how quickly you flip it upside down....TERRIBLE design. With so many complaints, it is also TERRIBLE you have not come up with a replacement base for this that fixes this. My base is now cracked from over tightening trying to accommodate the leaking which I at first thought was my fault. Another item into the land fill....what a waste!

Poor By Tom

This is a terrible feeder. Like others, mine too leaks all the nectar out in a day or so. You can sit and watch and see it "burp" out nectar. I bought these at the end of last summer and have not used them until now, so I have no receipt to return them. Perky Pet has always had good products, but this one missed the boat. I have two that are worthless. Any suggestions on how to fix the leakage?

Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

Hello Tom,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback.  We apologize for this experience and are happy to help.

When the bottle is tightly secured to the base, and the feeder is turned upright quickly to create a vacuum, it should not leak. Our Consumer Relations Team will be glad to provide additional assistance.  Please give us a call at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973).

Terrible feeder! By Moon

Feeder just DRIPS all the feeding solution to the ground! Not the quality feeder previous model CP203 was. Very wasteful. Wide mouth is easier to fill but not worth the convenience! Go back to the old, good model Perky-Pet!

Response From Perky-Pet®
Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

We apologize for this experience and would like the opportunity to learn more.

When the bottle is tightly secured to the base, and the feeder is turned upright quickly to create a vacuum, it should not leak.  Our current model 203CPBN is the glass version of this feeder.

Our feeders are covered by a one year replacement warranty. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.

Just the right size By bbcool
I bought 10 ea and arrived in no time. Great looking, just the perfect size. BUT, I put 2 in use right away and they both leaked. Tried to stop the leaks by resealing, cleaning etc. Put the rest in use and ALL leaked! Some more than others out of the feeding holes. Not recommend. Perky-Pet were very, very nice about my situation, thank you Louisa, will buy from this company again.

Q.How do you stop bees from entering the feeder? The birds won't feed from it.

The yellow domed bee guards are designed to prevent bees from gaining access to the nectar. If bees are still crowding this feeder, we would recommend temporarily removing the feeder from the area for a few days and rehanging it in a slightly different location.

Q.How tall is this feeder?

This feeder is approximately 8.25" H.
