The solar panel includes a 3-meter (9.8-inch) cord, so you’ll have that length of cable to connect the panel to the battery.

Where do you get the charger for the battery when there is not one in the box. Or will the solar panel bring the battery up to power so it can be set up to the I-pad?

The bird feeder includes 1 x USB-C charging cable; however, a charging brick is not included. You may use any standard USB charging brick. The built-in solar panel automatically charges the camera from dawn to dusk and will bring the battery up to power, allowing the unit to be set up and used with your iPad.

Are there plans for 5 Ghz supporting devices? 2.4 Ghz devices slow down my network.

Hi, thank you for reaching us. Currently, there are no plans to add 5 GHz compatibility in future models. The hardware in the device is designed specifically for 2.4 GHz to provide better range and wall-penetration for outdoor use.

I received the version of this feeder without the solar panel. How do I access JUST the solar panel. I don't want to have to buy a whole new feeder.

The solar panel is not currently sold as a separate accessory for the Perky-Pet® Solar Smart Camera Squirrel-Resistant Bird Feeder. If you received a version without the solar panel and expected the solar model, please contact us so we can review your purchase and assist you further.
