Review RateMason Jar Feeder
I bought two of these feeders and the hummers love them! I love that they are very easy to clean and fill. What I don’t love is that bases have rusted and are now useless. The rust is bad for my little birds. Is there a replacement base available? Is there a plastic replacement?Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateMetal base rusts!
We have 2 of these feeders and the metal bases have totally rusted out and flakes of metal and rust get into the nectar. This is not good for hummingbirds. Do you sell replacement metal bases? If not will have to buy all new feeders.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

I love the size of this feeder, but it doesn't screw into the base easily as the base has few threads to hold it. I've wasted more food from not being able to screw it on properly, leading to leaking and then discovering all the food has leaked out. So I've stopped using it. Very disappointed.Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative

The bottle should thread smoothly and securely onto the base. This feeder is covered by a one year replacement warranty. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.
Review Ratebase paint chips may not be safe for birdsPurchased less than one year ago. Last fall washed and stored. Have used it for one week this spring and the inside of the base tray, the part where the liquid sits below the flower buds, is peeling. Apparently the galvanized metal is painted or coated with a vinyl-like coating that dries out and peels off, leaving rust and paint chips behind. Is this safe for birds?
Would not purchase again because of this peeling and rusting problem. Otherwise is a attractive and easy to handle feeder. Nice size, too.Response From Perky-Pet®Lauren : Consumer Relations RepresentativeHello Ramona,
Thank you for sharing this experience. The base of the mason jar feeders and waterers are powder coated for rust resistance.
We apologize for this experience and would like to learn more about what occurred. Our feeders are covered under a one year warranty for replacement. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.
Review RatePlease Help!I was so excited about receiving this feeder because of its obvious beauty and super easy cleaning maintenance! Unfortunately my hummers do not feel the same way. I have tried placing it in a couple of different locations where my old red plastic feeders were highly popular for a least a few weeks and the hummers visit just a few times after initial placement and then stop coming all together. My neighbors feed them as well so I knew they were still in the area but just not coming to the new feeder. I changed the nectar several times, added red ribbon to the top and made sure that the feeder was cleaned regularly as usual but no luck. After two months of attempting to use this feeder I took it down and put the old red feeders up and the hummers were back same day. I have heard red food coloring is not good for hummers so Im all out of ideas. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks
