Can I use the feeder without the flowers and the purple rubbers?
Question by: Connie Nolan on Jun 20, 2025, 2:03 PM
Thank you very much for contacting us.
We do not recommend using the feeder without the flowers and purple rubber parts. These components are designed to optimize the feeding angle and comfort for all species of hummingbirds. Removing them may affect how well the birds can feed and reduce the overall effectiveness of the feeder.
It would be our pleasure to assist you if you have any further questions.

No, the feeder should be used with the flowers and purple gaskets to prevent leaks and ensure proper feeding.

Do you sell or know where I could get the bottom part, just the top piece. The wind blew off two of my feeders and broke the piece where the hummingbirds sit.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I have a good sized population of birds that has increased over the years. I need multiple feeders out at all times during the season, with the exceptions of the very beginning and end. I use More Birds feeders exclusively but am very dismayed that the number of feeding ports has diminished over the years. The sevens work best as when the fledglings begin to begin feeding, the family groups perch side by side and fill almost all of the ports. My feeders are in the shade all summer but no matter the number of feeders, they prefer one particular spot in my yard. It causes some congestion of course and has worsened since my feeders have been replaced b/c the largest ones only have five ports to feed from now. Are the seven port 22oz glass feeders still available? I have to weigh in on the purple centers as well. They’re extremely difficult to keep clean b/c they’re so dark. I prefer the white petals much more, but am having no success finding the replacement flowers locally anymore. Not everyone likes to order from Amazon.

Where can I buy a clear replacement cup? The bottom cup is cracked and will not hold liquids. Or where can I buy the exact model?

If I remove the flower inserts with the rubber, can I put the rest of the feeder in the dishwasher? I will, of course, wash it by hand afterwards to remove any residue. I just can't get all the crevices as well as I'd like.
Question by: Emilie St. Landau on Nov 3, 2025, 9:16 AM
We recommend cleaning the feeder with warm water and mild dish soap only. Please do not place our feeders in the dishwasher, as this may damage the product. If your feeder has a small neck or hard-to-reach areas, you can add a spoonful of rice with a dab of dish soap, fill the feeder two-thirds full with water, and shake well to help clean the crevices. Be sure to also scrub the feeding ports, cap, and bee guards thoroughly.
