Agree with everyone re the flower/purple access. I've had this one for a year. Now only two ports still have the flowers intact and I've plugged the holes with cork. Not pretty. And for the price of the feeder? Not good. Product managers, get with it!!

I cannot recommend this Hummingbird feeder since it has several inherent flaws in its design. The first issue is that the bottom plastic reservoir is very wide. I've had to struggle multiple times to loosen it if I had tightened it last time I filled it. I am normally the "go to" person my wife asks to open tight jar lids but this has been quite a challenge. It is very difficult to grab since it is so big in diameter. I've since learned not to tighten it much after filling it. The secondary problem is that after a significant rainstorm - the rain runs down the glass and goes directly into the reservoir. This essentially waterlogs the nectar and the birds refuse to feed from it. So every time it rains hard you need to empty it out and refill it. There should have been some sort of gasket included to prevent this from happening.

I have four of these, They require refills from 3 to 7 days. The best thing I like about them is the clear bottoms, where you can determine how much is left. Make sure you clean the ports, as they can get coated with the syrup. These are without a doubt the best feeders I have ever used.

Love the size and that the bottle is glass, but the purple rubber gaskets that hold the plastic flowers on deteriorate within the first year. Big waste of money because of defective parts.

We actually really like this hummingbird feeder. It only gets 4 stars because there is no way to replace the soft purple (rubber) feeding port. This is the second season we are using this feeder and the purple ports are completely broken down. Many other brands sell replacement parts, why not More Birds? What I like about this feeder is that it is glass, very durable (we have no problems with anything breaking or being hard to open) and very easy to clean. If we can't get replacement ports, we will buy a new feeder next season made by a company that actually sells replacement parts. What a waste that we can't keep using this great feeder.

We have a Big Gulp hummingbird feeder and it has been extremely hard to unscrew the glass bottle from the base. Today, the glass bottle actually broke off in the base. My wife sliced her finger pretty bad. I do not recommend buying this bird feeder because it is dangerous. My daughter has the same model, 41IN, and is having the same problem.

I love the Big Gulp! I have 5 feeders in my backyard. Is there anyway you can make the parts available for purchase? Sometimes the base sticks, maybe from the sugar solution. The constant on and off, causes fractures in the clear bottom, eventually chunks of the clear bottom break off, breaking the seal. Please sell the replacement parts.

Would be a 5 but I can’t find replacement parts for piece that holds nectar and piece with flowers and holes. Otherwise I love them. Have 2; need parts. Thank you!

The recent "upgrade" to the red base on the Big Gulp feeder is the dumbest thing ever. The previous incarnation had 7 perches and 7 flower feeding ports. The new one has a 360 degree perch all the way around, but the number of feeding ports has been REDUCED from 7 to 5. So more birds can fit round the feeder but less can actually feed. Absolutely stupid. I solved the problem by drilling 5 extra holes in the base and sticking a replacement flower in each one, so now my base has a 360 perch and ten feeding ports, which is double the capacity of this new one sold here.

The wide mouth on this series is wonderful for filling and cleaning. When you have over 30 birds trying to feed at the same time, they consume incredible amounts of nectar, so multiple feeders (now 5) that are easy to clean and refill make the job much more enjoyable.
