You really should note on the bottom attachment that it is not dishwasher safe. I washed it on the top rack and specified not heat dry and the red part warped. It will not fit back on the base and has ruined the entire feeder. I loved how solid this feeder seemed. But having a base that you can’t buy replacement parts for, seems ridiculous and wasteful. I hope you consider at least offering replacement bases. I do appreciate the discounted price point.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the More Birds® Big Gulp® Glass Hummingbird Feeder. The base is not dishwasher safe, and even top-rack washing can cause warping that prevents it from fitting back onto the bottle. We understand how frustrating it is when replacement bases aren’t available, and we’ll share your feedback with our product team. You can also visit our website to view the proper cleaning instructions to help prevent damage and keep your feeder in good condition.

I've bought 10 of these and used them heavily over two seasons. The flower centers are too soft, popping out easily during cleaning, and some say they disintegrate over time, though mine haven't yet but they're replaceable. The main issue is hairline cracks in the clear bottom, causing leaks, likely from tightening the hard plastic onto the glass bottle the material cracks easily it seems. I love the large mouth and the 40oz capacity, perfect for my needs. With the price drop I'm buying 4 more so thought I would leave a review. I hope you redesign these and fix these issues in the next version.

Need replacement ports (the purple part). White plastic flowers on mine are still fine but the purple ports are disintegrating from mold/exposure. I love that the nectar is visible in the reservoir and the flowers are white (doesn’t attract wasps like the yellow does). Make those replacements ports available to order and review would be 5 stars.

I bought the one with flower/purple access. The hummingbirds really like it. But the top red part which screw in the bottle to hang up, doesn’t tight up normally. If you put a little more presión get loose again. Well finally fell down and the glass broke. I think they can do a better job doing the threads.

This is the best feeder I've used in the years of feeding hummingbirds. It is well designed and can be used by placing it on a flat surface or suspended. With the ant prevention moat, it works best suspended. Early in the season, I only partially fill the feeder. But once the season gets going good, I have to refill it more frequently because of all the hummingbirds coming to get some 'nectar'. I don't understand any of the negative reviews. I've never had issues with it in the years that I've used it. After a while, I did need to find replacement parts for the soft parts that hold the flowers in. I found them in several places, but a nice source was actually available through eBay. Overall I absolutely love this feeder.

After years, finally found this feeder. The design of this feeder is extraordinary! Fill the glass container with "nectar" and the flow is controlled with a uniquely designed well system. The plastic bottoms are sturdy, and the feeders can be used by placing them on a flat surface or hung. I initially used them on the railing of my deck, but eventually ants would find their way to them. I since have been hanging them from the eve of the house. The built-in moats prevent ants when the feeder is suspended. I don't understand the reviews that say they are difficult to unscrew the base, as I've had no issues with this. After three years of service, I am extremely satisfied with this feeder. I do wish spare parts (i.e. the soft ports) were available for this model.

Agree with everyone re the flower/purple access. I've had this one for a year. Now only two ports still have the flowers intact and I've plugged the holes with cork. Not pretty. And for the price of the feeder? Not good. Product managers, get with it!!
I cannot recommend this Hummingbird ...

I cannot recommend this Hummingbird feeder since it has several inherent flaws in its design.
The first issue is that the bottom plastic reservoir is very wide. I've had to struggle multiple times to loosen it if I had tightened it last time I filled it. I am normally the "go to" person my wife asks to open tight jar lids but this has been quite a challenge. It is very difficult to grab since it is so big in diameter. I've since learned not to tighten it much after filling it.
The secondary problem is that after a significant rainstorm - the rain runs down the glass and goes directly into the reservoir. This essentially waterlogs the nectar and the birds refuse to feed from it. So every time it rains hard you need to empty it out and refill it. There should have been some sort of gasket included to prevent this from happening.

I have four of these, They require refills from 3 to 7 days. The best thing I like about them is the clear bottoms, where you can determine how much is left. Make sure you clean the ports, as they can get coated with the syrup. These are without a doubt the best feeders I have ever used.
Defective rubber gaskets

Love the size and that the bottle is glass, but the purple rubber gaskets that hold the plastic flowers on deteriorate within the first year. Big waste of money because of defective parts.
