I'm going to get another one, though there is one problem with them -- the 'lock' mechanism does not really lock. I wish they had twist-on lock tops like some cheaper plastic feeders do. I have to zip-tie the lock-button closed to get it to truly pinch the wire and stay locked. However, this feeder is heavy-duty metal and that helps stop squirrels from tipping it enough to force the feeder off the hook. They're pretty, easy to clean and easy to load with food. Plus, the perches are a little further away from the feed tray than most bird feeders, so some of the medium size birds can use it. I don't understand why more feeders don't have U-shaped perches that are at least 2.5-3.5" in depth to accommodate small and larger birds! I added the Perky-Pet largest squirrel baffle at the top to stop rain from getting to the food in the trays. [It doesn't stop the squirrels due to the location of a nearby tree that allows squirrels to come in from the side.] Once I shortened the hanging wire/loop, this works decently well in our rainy Pacific NW. I just wish someone would make a feeder that didn't have to be jury-rigged to truly keep seed dry in the rain. Small overhangs on the lid/top are a joke and drainage holes don't work either -- not when it's constantly rainy!
This is a nice looking feeder and is easy to fill. This one is blue and I think the bluejays were afraid of the color. It took them a couple of weeks to warm up to it.
The biggest issue as far as I am concerned is that the perch is too small... the larger birds have difficulty flying in and landing. The diameter needs to be about 2 inches larger for them. It would also help if the perch wire itself was a bit larger in diameter. This is a problem with almost all bird feeders.
Overall, it is working well and the birds are happy.

Most feeders are either one or the other, this feeder is both very easy to clean and a beautiful addition to the landscape! After all, if you dread the hassle of cleaning and drying your feeders, they will either become an eyesore - or worse - spread illness in your feathered friends. Here in the Midwest I use it to offer sunflower hearts and get goldfinches, white-breasted nuthatches, black-capped chicadees, and an occasional titmice at the feeder. The goldfinches are very messy but the Carolina wrens, cardinals, and the occasional dark-eyed junco do a great job cleaning up their mess on the ground below.
"Love this feeder", Its easy to fill, easy to clean, at a glance can see amount of seed left, tough and pretty at same time, has held up thru some harsh weather and the roof hangs over the seed/feeding area so stays dry and has 4 little drains holes for good measure. Really appreaciate the strong hanging cord also. Very good product.
The three bottom pieces are extremely hard to put together. Do you have visual instructions?
