Attracting goldfinches, purple finches, redpolls, and siskins to your yard with the Perky-Petยฎ Finch Feeder. This feeder includes our patented Flexportsยฎ, which offer benefits for birds and you. The flexible rubber port cover is uniquely designed to prevent seed clogging and is the perfect size for small finch seed. The design also allows birds to feed in a more natural position. With 1.5 lb of Nyjerยฎ on offer, your backyard birds will be in good supply. Plus, the bright yellow accents on this tube feeder are sure to catch the eye of thistle-eating birds as they pass by.
Double Feeding Positions
Acrobatic goldfinches have no problem feeding while perched upside-down. This feeder caters to that unique ability by offer dual feeding positions. They can feed both right-side-up and upside-down from the comfortable T-shaped perches. And with six feeding stations, this feeder is easily able to accommodate multiple birds simultaneously.
More Comfortable For Birds
Standard finch ports are incredibly small and can be difficult for birds to grab seed from. This feederโs unique Flexportsยฎ offer more feeding angles than standard finch ports because theyโre flexible. The design allows birds to feed at an optimal position outside of the port, creating a more natural feeding position and offering better visibility so they feel safer and stick around longer. Birds wonโt be able to resist visiting over and over!
No Seed Clogging
Each of the six feeding stations is equipped with our new Perky-Petยฎ Flexportsยฎ. The gaps in the flexible cover are the perfect size for small finch feed. Not only does this design make it easier for birds to grab seed, but it also prevents clogging, which is a common problem with standard finch ports.
Weather-Resistant Ports
Rain, snow, and other adverse weather conditions are the primary ways that bird seed falls prey to mold and mildew. Thatโs why weโve designed the Perky-Petยฎ Finch Feeder with itโs unique Flexportsยฎ. The flexible rubber port cover offers better protection from weather, so your seed stays fresh and dry longer.

I love this bird feeder and so do all the local birds! Easy to fill. It seems easy for the birds to use too. Seems to stay pretty dry in rainy weather. The rubber openings do wear out after a year or so. The worn openings allow the bird seed to fall out a bit more. Not a big complaint because this is overall an awesome bird feeder. I wish there was a way to replace the worn rubber openings. But at such a great price, it's not a big deal to replace when needed. Please don't stop making this birdf eeder!! Thank you.
Was going to re-buy this model, until I saw they changed the port design (I liked the old style slot), and after reading the reviews, I guess I'll look elsewhere for my thistle feeder.

Like others have stated this is too difficult to clean. As soon as it rains the seed gets wet and moldy and packs down. The seed ports didnโt hold up well. When I cleaned it last I saw that the 'flaps' creating the flexible ports were breaking off leaving a large hole for a port. Not sure if it was birds or squirrels that created the damage. Nice concept but it needs modifications.
Thank you for this feedback. We're sorry to hear that this happened to your feeder. It has a one year replacement policy. Reach out to us via the Contact Us page for assistance.

You get what you pay for with this feeder. Food molds in the bottom and has to be dug out. You canโt remove the base so cleaning isnโt easy. Donโt buy!
Thank you for sharing this feedback. We're sorry to hear about this recent experience with this feeder. We recommend frequently cleaning seed feeders to prevent buildup of seed or mold. Feeders should be soaked in a mild soap and water solution. Reach out to us via the Contact Us page with any questions.

The seed clumps and gets moldy in the bottom. I don't see a way to get the bottom off for a thorough cleaning. Not easy trying to pry the cement like moldy seed with a bbq skewer. It should be easy to clean so the birds don't eat the bad seed and get sick.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. To clean this feeder, we recommend soaking it in a solution of warm water with a mild soap to help break up any stuck seed. We do not recommend disassembling the feeder to clean it.

Not a good feeder.

Not a good feeder. Seed pours out of ports to easy when birds feed, I keep on swiping up seed and put back in feeder.
We are sorry to hear about this! A little seed spillage is normal when using any bird feeder. If there is a defect with the flexports, please give us a call at 855-737-5973 for warranty assistance.

Turn daily to keep seeds from clumping

Finches hang out on these perches for a long time. I have it hung where squirrels canโt readily have access, so flexports havenโt been damaged, and birds seem to like them. I had a problem at first with seeds at the bottom getting wet and moldy; if they are between lower seed ports, they have nowhere to go and wonโt ever be consumed. So I give the feeder a couple turns most days to circulate the seeds and keep them from forming clumps. Seems to work so far.
Bought this feeder on Monday, on Tuesday had at least 6 male and 3 female Goldfinches feeding from it. The only 2 things that I donโt like about this feeder, are the plastic perches, which will probably break off in the near future and the plastic hanger loop, which will also probably break in the near future. I solved the hanger loop issue, simply by replacing it with a metal hanger loop from the bird feeder that this feeder replaced. The plastic rod fits through the existing holes and the stainless steel hanger loop, fits through the hole on either end of the plastic rod. This is working better than the plastic hanger so far. Wish I could replace the plastic perches with metal perches, but for now, theyโre working. Flex ports are a good idea and if they hold up, Iโll be happy.
This is a great feeder. The birds love it. BUT: the plastic Flexports are too weak. I think the birds tear them up, not the squirrels. There should be a replacement source. The yellow plastic hanger broke early also & I replaced it with a wire one. As I said, It's would be a great feeder if it was beefed up some.
I love Perky Pet products and service, but I'm very disappointed in this feeder. I thought this feeder would be good on my deck and not leave a mess of seed hulls but the nyjer comes too freely out the Flexports, covering the deck and the ground below. The rain soaked the seed and black mold or algae quickly filled spaces on the Flexports and around the bottom of the feeder. I had to dump the seed and wash it but even then I couldn't get the black stuff out of the crevices. It wasted a lot of expensive seed, and was inconvenient to use.
