Hummingbirds won't touch it By Luvmywildlife

My Anna's hummingbirds (we live on the central coast of CA) won't touch this stuff. I've put it out for them a few times and they will not drink it. I looked at the label and the second ingredient is sucrose. I think they don't like the taste of it (I don't either!) Whenever I put plain sugar water out again, they come back. I gave it two stars because it is easy to mix up.

Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Thank you for providing this feedback! We are sorry for this experience. Hummingbirds are creatures of habit and will be hesitant to try a new food source. We recommend using one type of nectar in all feeders and mixing it as recommended. It is also important to keep the nectar fresh (by cleaning the feeder at least twice a week).

Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or for additional assistance. We are happy to help!

I\'ve used this for years. By EZLiving
I've used this concentrate for years. It's easy to mix and lasts much longer than homemade sugar and water. The orioles like it too. It's much more convenient than the powdered form.

I purchase this frequently. The birds will drink nothing else and believe me, I've tried. This even attracts non hummingbirds!

Q.Is there a "Best if Used by" date for this product? I found an 8 oz. box that has never been opened from about 3 years ago. Want to make sure that it is still ok to use.

This product has a shelf life of one year if unopened.

Q.How long can you refrigerate the liquid concentrate? Is a bottle from last year good for this year?

Once opened, this product can be stored in the refridgerator for up to one month.

Q.Once you open the ready to use nectar, how long does it last in that container? I don't get but a few humming birds. Also should that be refrigerated after opening? I know the container say no, but what about after it opened? Thanks Paul

Once the nectar is opened, it can be stored for up to one month in the refrigerator.
