The birds and I both love this water feeder but I’m really disappointed in the rust that has developed. Had it just over a year so no warranty. I would not recommend.
Bowl is rusting

I've had for less than a year and the "galvanized" bowl is rusting away. The design has slight bumps to help secure but when glass strikes those bumps, rust ensues. Also, the galvanizing on bottom of bowl is uneven resulting in lots of rusty spots.

This product would be great if the paint didn't flake off of the base causing it to rust. They wouldn't replace it because I've had it for over a year. It appears that the new base is galvanized, but you have to buy it. A little disappointed about this. I'm done with this company.

Principle is excellent but design is poor. I have broken two of these at the neck where it screws into the watering dish. Its glass being turned onto steel so very poor design. There should be an inset for a rubber seal to take the impact when screwing together.
Mason jar bird waterer is great

All the birds love this waterer. It is easy to clean and provides clean water for the birds which they seem to appreciate on those hot summer days.

love this, we have a small creek next to us that goes dry in the summer. this will be great for the birds during the hot months.
Paint on base peels very easily

I wanted to also add that the base on my waterer is flaking off paint. So I would NOT recommend people purchase this until they figure out how to get something that lasts - I've had the waterer for only like 4-5 months.

Design fine, but base metal is inferior in quality

The galvanized base is worthless! It deteriorates, leaving little flakes of metal floating around it the birds’ water. I have two of these, and had one powder-coated, which isn’t cheap, but at least it isn’t rusting out. Why can’t you just use aluminum or stainless (food-grade)on these things?
