Generally a good enough feeder, like the top load feature. Mine dripped until I figured out that the top needs to be screwed on tightly. My other comment is that in Seattle, the flowers are molding badly and the soft plastic can't be cleaned or bleached so the black spots remain. The perches could use a bit more thickness, they snap off easily. Style triumphs over function. Other than that, so far after three seasons, its working. I feed the resident Anna's all year around.

The bottom chamber leaks. Found the bottom snaps on and off for cleaning, however not sun enough to stop it from leaking. Returning it tomorrow.

Do not purchase, fatal design flaw

Do not purchase this feeder, it has a fatal design flaw. The flaw has nothing to do with being in the sunlight, or the top not being screwed down tight enough. This feeder operates by way of a small float inside the lower chamber. As the water level in the feeder raises, the float ascends and eventually presses against a pinhole port at the base of the bottle. In theory, as the water is drank, the float will descend which opens the pinhole, allowing water to flow into the chamber. As water trickles into the chamber, the float (re)ascends. Eventually, the float will make contact with the pinhole port and stop the flow of water. This is a simple float-actuated valve. The problem is, the float is not nearly buoyant enough, or tall enough. If a small breeze causes the feeder to sway, it's possible that a few droplets of water will splash on top of the float. The weight of the water accumulated on the top of the float is enough to open the valve. Due to the water tension, the float will get dragged further and further under water, which further opens the valve. Eventually the water level will rise enough to spill out between the two halves of the base. Worse, the trickle of water that results isn't enough to overcome weight of water dragging the float down, and the entire bottle will be evacuated. For this to work, they need to make the float both more buoyant, and taller. More buoyancy will result in a stronger valve, and a taller float will ensure no water is able to splash on the top. See the attached image of what's going on inside the chamber to cause the feeder to leak.

Very disappointed with this feeder.

Very disappointed with this feeder. It has leaked from day one. I've taken it apart & reassembled it 3 times, making sure the seals are tight, to no avail. All I'm accomplishing is wasting my nectar, & cleaning up sticky messes. The float that sits in the bottom of the base is also filled with water! Obviously, the float isn't sealed correctly for it to fill with water. I have to drive all the way down to the UPS store to return it to Amazon.

The hummingbirds are checking it out, but they are unable to get any "nectar". I don't think the bee guards are working properly.

We are sorry to hear about this! If nectar is not flowing into the base, we recommend loosing the base slightly (not too much, we don't want it to leak!). If this doesn't work, please give us a call directly for additional assistance. - Susan

I had another feeder the birds just didn't take to. I put this bad boy out and within 2 days it is feeding free for all out there! 10-20 birds every morning and evening

Zero Stars, however, I could not send this without adding one star. I do not recommend anyone purchasing this bird feeder, unless you like to feed the ants below the feeder. I purchased this feeder in January. When the weather was safe to attract the hummers, I put this out for them. The bottom seal portion does not seal tightly with the top portion containing the oversized yellow petunias. I am thoroughly disgusted with my purchase from a reputable outdoor store, and will return for a refund.

$10 is FAR too much - $1 would be FAR too much

This feeder is the ABSOLUTE WORST. I don't know why, but my hummingbirds (in TWO different locations, because I stupidly bought TWO of these for this year) will NOT feed from this feeder design. They hate it. I fill the feeder and the sugar water goes bad, because they try to drink it, and for some reason it seems to me like they can't get the liquid out of it. POOR DESIGN, and I would not recommend it.

Hello Terry,   I'm so sorry to hear about this! Birds can take some time to adjust to new feeders, how long have you had these hanging? Placing them near plants that hummingbirds like can help attract them to the feeder as well. Please feel free to give us a call at 855-737-5973 for additional assistance.   Best regards, Susan

To say this feeder attracts birds is an understatement. This feeder started attracting hummingbirds the first day I put it out. Within the last week (we've lived here for 20 years and have never seen this) it also attracted a gold finch and an oriole(not complaining). Easy to clean and fill. My next purchase will be this same exact feeder from Perky-Pet. When a bird's hunger needs met, go to Perky-Pet. :)
