Where is the best place to hang my new hummingbird feeder?
Question by: Kathryn Tator on Oct 22, 2020, 2:14 PM
Place your hummingbird feeder away from sun and wind. The sun may cause the mixture to turn bad and the wind may swing the feeder around, causing the mixture to spill.

How do I attract hummingbirds to my feeder?
Question by: Kathryn Tator on Oct 22, 2020, 2:15 PM
Hummingbirds will find your nectar feeder, although there are some steps you can take to help the tiny birds find it sooner. Tying a red ribbon on the feeder wire or pole will help them locate it.

I typically get a lot of ants around my hummingbird feeders, what can I do to prevent them from getting to the nectar?
Question by: Kathryn Tator on Oct 22, 2020, 2:34 PM
No worries, with this top fill feeder - it has a built in ant moat right in the lid of the feeder. After filling your feeder and hanging, simply pour a small amount of water in the top of the lid.

Can I purchase a replacement bottom section? I have perches and flowers.

Hi, thank you so much for your question! Unfortunately, replacement parts are not available for you to purchase.

Is it possible to just purchase the top of the bottom loading glass pinched waist hummingbird feeder. The sun here in Las Vegas really does damage to the little part that you put the hook in to hang them.. I try to hang them in the shade but they end up getting the late afternoon sun when it is hottest at 110 degrees F. I have had 3 break in the last several months. And there is no glue that will fix the break/ I have tried several. Being as expensive as they are and being a senior (age 80) on a fixed income it is not cost effective nor does it fit in my budget to keep throwing them away for one part that could easily be replaced. I have previously bought the flowers, bee guards and perches that the sun also destroys, usually in one summer. I have 2 of the 20 oz and 6 of the 16 oz. I also have one of the hand held feeders that is so much fun to have the beautiful hummingbirds come and eat right out of my hand.

We do not sell replacement parts for this feeder. We recommend placing the feeder in a shaded area to help extend its lifespan and reduce sun damage.
