Perky-Pet® Rose Gold Top-Fill Glass Hummingbird Feeder

Bought this on sale for $8 at hardware store. It looked much nicer than the glass feeders with the red plastic flowers that the Anna hummingbirds seem to love. So I was disappointed when none of my regulars used the beautiful new feeder. I looked at the reviews and saw that many customers had the same experience. My Annas would come close but did not seem to know what to do. I thought it might be the drab brownish-red color of the “flowers”. I discovered (Google) how to make attractive flowers using cheap “silk” flowers from the Dollar Store. Made some red and yellow flowers, stuck them under the brown feeder flowers, even made two perches in case the birds would prefer to rest when feeding and voila, the hummingbirds used my “remodeled” new rose-gold glass feeder after just a few minutes. I had one of the old glass/plastic feeders nearby to give my Annas a reason to come around. I can recommend this feeder but the buyer needs to put in a little effort to make it attractive to hummingbirds - at least when the hummingbirds are used to the old feeders.

I have always had Perky pet feeders since they are the only ones that don’t leak. My friend gave me this one and I was excited to have a pretty one. It’s been hanging for 3 weeks even though I change the food non of my hummers will eat off it. I have 4 other feeders up I fill at least 3 times a week not this one.

I like the way this is easier to clean. I see that the Bee's are still able to get to the food. I had to take it down because the Birds would not feed from it. I think there should be more red on it to attract the Birds. I know you have some that are red. I chose this because it is very pretty.

Awesome!! I bought two of the top-fill feeders, but only replaced one. The birds loved it, so I replaced the other one, too. it's great to be able to make my food inside, take it outside and simply fill them up! They are at our second home. So when I get there, I will take them in to clean them, then refill. But while we are there, I'll just keep refilling. It's also nice that they are bigger than my 10 oz bottles, so I know they will be fed longer while we aren't there.

This is more than just a well-designed hummingbird feeder. It's a beautiful piece of decor for your outdoor area. This is the 3rd top-filling feeder I've purchased and I'm a big fan. They are very easy to fill and, more importantly, keep clean. The hummers seem to love them too, so they're not staying full for long. I've read comments that these feeders leak, but as long as you screw the bottle into the base firmly, you shouldn't have any problems.

I bought 2 of them and they both leak a lot not just little drips and the bees love that it leaks I thought I had it maybe tilted but nope I got a level to check it I guess I can say at least it’s cute?

Birds like it fine. It's pretty and I like pouring through the widemouth lid. Will make it easy to clean the glass. What makes me wonder is if I'll be able to separate the base; looks so easy in the video but I gave up and filled it. I substituted flowers with perches attached so they can stay for awhile.

Bought this at a local hardware store. Birds will not use it. I have 2 red ones that they love. Differences are pink color and plastic/rubber vinyl flowers and no "perch". I bought it because of the ease of cleaning.

Failure! My hummingbirds won't touch it. I live in So. AZ and have many hummingbirds in the yard, enthusiastically using many different feeders. I make my own nectar, 3 to parts water and sugar with no coloring. I thought this design looked perfect but after 4 months and varied locations, this feeder is useless. A hummingbird will approach but will not feed.
