Unfortunately, we had a squirrel lift the loop holding the feeder onto the iron hook up and off the 1 1/2 inch hook at the end of the pole. It fell about 6-7 feet to the ground and the plastic bowl broke at three of the four attachment points at the bottom of the bowl. This was only four days after we placed the feeder into service. This shows an obvious weak point in the product design, and it needs to be removed off the market completely. We have a different tube-shaped feeder which we have used over 20 years and were looking for another similar durable feeder but this Perky-Pet® Bronze Panorama Wild Bird Feeder was an obvious mistake to buy.

after using this feeder for a number of years i have great regard for this style mainlybecause it attracts numerious birds at my feeders giving me time to count and film all species of birds at given tymes of day thanks.

Best customer service! This is a sturdy and attractive bird feeder. The tabs on the plastic hopper broke from a couple of run-ins with a hungry raccoon. I e-mailed to see about buying a replacement hopper. They promptly replied that they do not supply replacement parts, but it was covered under their 1-year warranty. Two days later a brand new feeder was at my house!

I love this feeder! It's very sturdy except for the plastic tube. The size is right and allows for frequent proper cleaning. I don't want any sick birds making others sick. It's also great to know that fresh seed after cleaning is safe for them to eat. I am heart-broken because the plastic locking cylinder has cracked. This has become my favorite and best feeder. I need to replace. I wish it was glass. I would like to give five stars for the fantastic feeder but I gave less because of the plastic cylinder. I still recommend it over all completely plastic ones on the market.

I really like this product. I've bought several over the years. Easy to see food level and can dispense wide range of food. Many types of birds are attracted and feed from this feeder and fun to watch. I really wish they sold replacement clear plastic tube for this product as that is the weakest point, the plastic tabs that connect to the base is the part that keeps breaking for me. You have to always be careful, one accidental drop and the product is done.
Plastic tabs broken so lid doesn't sit solidly

Bought 2 of these feeders and one had two tabs that the lid rests on broken off the plastic tube so the lid rocks around. Don't know if the plastic tube can be replaced without buying a whole new feeder so i'm only rating this as a 3 stars. Really like the feeders as they dispense seed very well including mixed nuts. May buy a couple more in the future but will wait to see if they hold up or if the plastic tube is going to be a problem going forward.

I like this feeder, have two of them. Right size for one day of feeding, feed 1 1/2 times per day in winter, larger feeders had birds eating me out of house and home. On real cold snowy days the button to lift top would freeze, putting hands around it would thaw it. Good price for the quality. I, like a few others, need to replace cracked plastic center.
The cap is a very weak point.

Bought 2 of these. The sure lock caps lost it's ability after a few months of use. 3 stars for that. I use a thin bungee cord to help secure them now. Other than this design flaw, the feeder is well made. The plastic cylinder is thicker and stronger than most. The birds seem to like the perch surround. One is filled with sunflower hearts and the other, I put high quality mixed seed, fruit & nut blend. They are baffled to keep critters off as they would wreak havoc on this, as well, Being metal makes it chew proof which is a big plus. Easy to clean & fill. Made for smaller birds but we do get Cardinals on occasion.

Love the size. Prefer feeders less than 3 lbs. The look of the feeder is very quality looking. Putting them out this Fall.

Well-constructed and priced right - a great buy! As someone who will feed everything and everyone, i think this feeder is great. It's not squirrel-proof (they haven't figured out how to open it from the top yet, but they can eat from it easily enough), but I like feeding them too, so it's all good. Big birds (cardinals, female blue jays, turtle doves) and little birds alike can perch easily. The clear container bit is a good thicker plastic and has not broken despite hitting the ground a few times after getting knocked off the hanger by wind. Overall, birds, squirrels and humans are happy with this feeder in my backyard.
