I just bought your SQUIRREL STUMPER at Home Depot on March 27. It has NOT kept the squirrels away, in fact, I can send you a photo of the little pest upside down hanging off the feeder eating. He has also removed the cover which I taped several times. This is false advertisement and apparently was not tested before. Can I get a refund? I paid $18.97 for it plus tax.
Question by: Fran Collins on Apr 5, 2025, 5:09 PM

Feeder was working but stopped. Recharged the camera now won’t work?
Question by: Brenda Shepherd on May 21, 2025, 12:53 PM
Thank you very much for contacting us.

Please try charging the camera, as the issue may be due to the battery being fully drained. The camera typically takes 2–3 hours to fully charge, and a solid red light will indicate that it’s charging. Once fully charged, the light will turn off.

You can also monitor the battery level through the Perky-Pet App or by checking the camera itself. A blinking red LED every 10 seconds means the battery is low.

If, after charging, the camera still does not power on, please call us at 855-737-5973.

It would be our pleasure to assist you.

I’m excited about your Pesky-Pet Smart Camera Feeder. I’m considering buying one instead of a knock-off elsewhere. Two Questions.

1) How long does the battery last? I noticed other smart feeders use solar power.

2) Due to WIFI, I want to install it on our back porch (router in kitchen). I don’t want to install it directly on the front porch, plus I would still like eye-level from kitchen window. However, From what I gather, it appears a 45–60-degree extended deck hook may work, but I don't see one on your website. Do you have recommendations? You should consider a YouTube with installation ideas. In fact, that is my primary hold-up.
Question by: Grant Hoover on May 27, 2025, 10:12 AM
Hi, thank you for your questions. The smart cameras are not solar powered and need to be recharged. For WiFi, you should place the feeder within at least 50 ft of your router.

Is there any way to access videos online? Can you view videos from your computer or tv? My dad is older and using the phone all the time will be hard on his eye sight.
Question by: Kara Brown on Dec 10, 2025, 7:39 PM
The videos from the Perky-Pet® Smart Camera Squirrel-Resistant Bird Feeder are available through the Perky-Pet® app, and that’s where you can view, download, and store them. At this time, the videos can’t be accessed directly on a computer or TV.

Hi I just got a Perky-Pet® Smart Camera Squirrel-Resistant Bird Feeder for Xmas. My plan is to attract the Cardinals and Blue Jays still around during the winter. Once it gets warmer, can this unit attract hummingbirds too?
Question by: Joe on Dec 24, 2025, 8:28 PM
The Perky-Pet® Smart Camera Squirrel-Resistant Bird Feeder is designed for seed-eating birds such as cardinals and blue jays. It has not been tested for use with hummingbirds, and hummingbirds require nectar feeders with specific feeding ports. Because of that, we can’t recommend this feeder for attracting hummingbirds. A dedicated hummingbird feeder would be the best option once the weather warms up.
Answer by: Walter Sandoval (Admin) on Dec 26, 2025, 8:55 AM
We don't have squirrels in our area to worry about. I am wondering how lock the feeder open so that blue jay's and flickers can access it. Right now, no matter what setting i use, it is still too sensitive for birds larger than finches and chickadee.
Question by: Wendy on Dec 27, 2025, 3:14 PM
Some larger birds like blue jays and flickers can trigger the Perky-Pet® Smart Camera Squirrel-Resistant Bird Feeder because the sensitivity setting is intended to deter squirrels, not limit larger birds. There isn’t a way to lock the feeder fully open for larger birds without reducing its ability to resist squirrels — the sensitivity adjustment is the only setting provided. You can try the least sensitive setting and make sure the feeder is mounted on a sturdy pole or bracket so it doesn’t move when birds land.

Can’t even get a live picture now. Just spinning. My other bird feeder [ different brand) had NO issues with live feed, pictures , of videos. It’s definitely your product.
