Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone® Max Pinecone Bird Feeder with Flexports®
Offering maximum protection against squirrels and maximum comfort for your favorite birds, the Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone® Max Pinecone Bird Feeder with Flexports® is the feeder you’ve been searching for. To offer defense against squirrels, this feeder offers a twist-lock lid and a weight-activated Seed Shield™ so squirrels can’t gain access to the seed supply. In addition to its squirrel-resistant features, the Squirrel-Be-Gone® Max is also a favorite of birds. It also includes six feeding stations with our patented Flexports®, which offer 5-in-1 benefits for birds and you. With its rustic powder coating and decorative pinecone-themed design, this feeder will make a charming addition in any backyard setting.
Squirrel Proof Seed Shield™
To offer defense against squirrels, this feeder boasts multiple great features. First, is the feeder’s weight-activated Seed Shield™, which is calibrated to support the weight of birds but not squirrels. When squirrels try to gain access to the perches, the cage closes off the ports under their weight. Birds can sit on every perch without activating it. In addition, the twist-lock cap prevents squirrels from lifting the lid, while the metal frame discourages chewing around the ports.
To ensure a 100% squirrel proof feeder, placement is key! Hang the feeder with at least 18 inches of clearance on all sides so squirrels can’t easily reach the ports without activating the Seed Shield™.
Flexports® Offer 5-in-1 Benefits
Our patented Flexports® offer 5-in-1 benefits for birds and you. The unique design is 4X more shake resistant than standard Perky-Pet® ports so there’s less seed waste – which means money saved and fewer messes on the ground! The design also allows birds to feed at an optimal position outside of the port, offering improved visibility so they feel safer and visit the feeder longer. Because birds are more comfortable, you’ll get more birdwatching time overall!
Six Feeding Stations Fit Small & Large Birds
With less competition from squirrels, birds won’t be able to resist the Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone® Max Pinecone Bird Feeder! It features six feeding ports so multiple birds can dine at the same time and you can enjoy a better view. The feeding stations also boast multi-height perches to accommodate birds both large and small.

Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone® Max Pinecone Bird Feeder with Flexports®
Broke within 2 weeks. No repair possible. Flexports fell out and company does not offer replacements. Before that, the spring never worked very well and I'd have to adjust it manually. Save your money!
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the feeder did not meet your expectations.
We understand how frustrating it is to experience issues with the Flexports and the spring mechanism, especially after only a short period of use. We also recognize your disappointment that replacement Flexports are not available for this model.
Your comments regarding the durability of the components and the performance of the spring mechanism are valuable and will be shared with our product team for review. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience.

Do not waste your money ...

Do not waste your money or time on these!
Bought 2 and both are in the trash. Squirrels easily hang or sit on perches and chew /pop the ports out which dumps ALL of the seed on the ground. $$ on feeders and $$ on specialty seed wasted!
More insanity? The company doesnt even carry, offer, OR sell their replacement ports.
Read the unanimous and indisputable reviews, and buy elsewhere.
Should be renamed: Squirrel Free-for-all.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience. The Flexports® are designed to help reduce seed loss and discourage squirrels, but determined squirrels may still cause damage, especially if they repeatedly chew on feeder components. If the ports become loose, we recommend inspecting them regularly and ensuring they are fully seated in place. Positioning the feeder at least 8–10 feet away from jumping points and using a squirrel baffle can also help reduce squirrel activity around the feeder. We appreciate your feedback regarding replacement parts and will share your comments with our team.

This is my second Squirrel ...

This is my second Squirrel Be Gone feeder. I had my first one for several years and it was great. I bought a new one about 4 months ago and the squirrels have removed 3 of the rubber flaps. I am so disappointed that these are so easily removed. Now the feeder is useless unless I am able to get new rubber flaps so all the birdseed does leak out all over the place.
GARBAGE! Total waste of money and time. Within 3 days of this being hung larger birds and squirrels ripped out the flexports. The flexports are cheaply made with teeny plastic nubs that do not hold the port in place. Once ripped out the seed dumps to the ground. The icing on the cake is when we called customer service they informed us that they DO NOT SELL THE FLEXPORTS but informed us that we can buy them online from another business!!!! What a complete garbage product and evidently so is this company. Very poor experience.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the feeder and the issues you encountered with the Flexports®. This is not the performance we expect from our products. We understand how frustrating it is when parts become damaged and replacements are not readily available. Please reach out to us directly so we can assist further and work toward a resolution.

I bought two of these. The squirrels ended up gnawing through the rubber windows. The manufacturer says they can't supply replacement parts. Avoid this product.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the feeders did not hold up as expected due to squirrel damage.
We understand how frustrating it is when wildlife impacts the durability of a product, and we also apologize for the inconvenience of not having replacement parts available. Your feedback is important, and we’ve made sure your comments are shared with the appropriate team for review.
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know.

I'm adding my poor review ...

I'm adding my poor review due to the disappointment that you do not sell the flexports separately.
The birdfeeder itself is fine. But it is obvious that the flexports are the weak point. Please reassess your ,in my opinion, poor business decision to not offer the flexports. It would offer another revenue stream plus lead to more satisfied customers, which in turn would lead to more sales and also repeat sales.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry for the disappointment caused by not offering the Flexports as replacement parts, and we understand how frustrating it can be when a component wears out and can’t be replaced individually.
Your suggestion about offering them separately is appreciated, and we’ll be sure to pass your comments along to our product team for consideration.
We’re glad to hear the feeder itself has worked well for you otherwise. If your feeder is within one year of the purchase date, it may qualify for a replacement under our warranty. Just call us back at 855-737-5973. One of our agents would be more than glad to assist you.

Got this garbage from Walmart. Spring was not attached and could not find one direction to help or video to explain how to do so. Played with it for an hour. Gave up. Complete trash!!!. So! Garbage!!
We’re very sorry to hear about your frustrating experience, and we truly apologize for the inconvenience this caused. The spring should absolutely have been properly attached, and we understand how disappointing it is not to have clear instructions available.
Please know that your bird feeder is covered by a 1-year warranty. We would be more than happy to replace it for you right away. Simply contact our customer support team directly at 855-737-5973, and we’ll make this right as quickly as possible.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the lack of assembly instructions and video guidance. We’re actively working on improving our instructional materials to make setup much easier moving forward.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, we’re sorry for the trouble.

Flex ports are not great.

Flex ports are not great. They are fine when new but disintegrate in time and you are left with a gaping hole in the ports.
Thank you for sharing your experience with the Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone Max Pinecone Bird Feeder with Flexports®. We’re sorry to hear the Flexports didn’t hold up as expected. They’re designed to help deter squirrels while allowing birds to feed, so premature wear isn’t typical. Placing the feeder out of direct, constant sun exposure and following regular cleaning and care can help extend the life of the Flexports.
If the ports have deteriorated and the feeder isn’t performing as intended, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Not able to buy replacement ...

Not able to buy replacement Flexports for the feeder. Reading the comments and questions regarding the product, it is obvious that there is problem that can be corrected my Pesky Pets if they offer buyers to purchase replacement Flexports. I will not buy any product as a result. The Flexports wear out too fast.
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone Max Pinecone Bird Feeder with Flexports®. We’re sorry to hear about the trouble with the Flexports wearing over time. The Flexports are designed to flex with use, but they should hold up under normal feeding conditions.
If the Flexports on your feeder are worn and affecting performance, please contact us, our team can help review your options and assist further.

Flexports cannot be replaced

The flexports work for a short time. Once the birds and other animals tear the flexports up, bird seed spills out on the ground. I may as well pile the sunflower seeds on the ground. Perky-Pet does not give you the opportunity to replace the flexports. Instead they want you to spend the extra 40-50 dollars to buy a new one. Perky-Pets needs to sell the flexports so I don't have the throw away a perfectly good bird feeder just because the flexports are not working. I will not buy another Perky-Pet feeder again. I also tried to send a couple of pictures of my now trashed Perky-Pet FlexPort bird feeder but this website will not download the pictures due to file size.
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone Max Pinecone Bird Feeder with Flexports®. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the Flexports and the seed spillage you described. The Flexports are designed to discourage squirrels while still allowing birds to feed, so the damage you experienced isn’t expected when used as directed.
We’d like the opportunity to help and review possible options with you. Please contact us and our team will be happy to assist.
Can I get 6 flexports? I watched a small squirrel jump up onto the feeder, the outer cage didn’t pull down. I chased it away but found the next time I filled the seeds The seeds poured out, the flexports were chewed and half of the soft rubber was gone.
Please let me know how to proceed.

Why do you not supply replacement flexports? If you look at your reviews at any number of websites, the biggest complaint for the Squirrel-be-gone flexport bird feeder is the flexports failing. I inquired well over a year ago and you still don't supply them. I am not going to buy another $30 to $40 dollar Perky-Pet bird feeder when all I need are the flexports. Listen to your customers and provide them. This is rediculous!
Question by: John Harrison on Jan 26, 2026, 4:52 PM
We appreciate the feedback and understand the concern. At this time, replacement Flexports® are not sold separately, so the full Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone® Max Pinecone Bird Feeder is sold as a complete unit.
Perky-Pet® values customer input, and comments like yours about Flexport durability are shared with the product team for consideration in future updates, please contact us so we can check what we can do for you due to the inconvenience and assist you further.
Answer by: Walter Sandoval (Admin) on Jan 27, 2026, 11:04 AM
Why don’t you sell the flexports? There is obviously a customer desire for these. I understand selling the birdfeeder unit, but you could sell a set of flexports for half of the price for the feeder and your customers would buy them everyday and twice on Sunday. I’d pay $20 for a full set and buy 5 sets at a time! I love this feeder but I like others are willing to repurchase the feeder cause the squirrels are able to get their little claws in there and mutilate the flexports. The flexports also fall out! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found them on the ground and reinserted them and sometimes glued them back in place. Again, this seems to be a no brainer for customer satisfaction and sells.
