For the SBG101, the Flexports® are designed to move when a squirrel's weight activates the feeder, helping prevent squirrels from accessing the seed. To help provide the best feeding experience, make sure the feeder is hanging level and the ports are properly positioned before use. We also recommend placing the feeder at least 10 feet from jumping surfaces and about 5 feet from the ground. For best results, place the feeder at least 10 feet from structures squirrels can jump from and approximately 5 feet off the ground. Keeping the feeder away from nearby branches and other access points can also help prevent squirrels from reaching the ports.
