The water tray is to small for birds, even small birds, to land on. The birds fly into the water bottle. The water tray should be at least 8" in diameter. I hope you are quickly coming out with a replacement tray otherwise in my opinion the product is useless and I wasted my money.
If I could give a zero star rating, I would. Wasted my money. I agree with others who state the poor design does not allow for enough room for birds to perch and drink. Also, the amount of water in the drinking area is minuscule.

Please redesign this product. The water tray does not hold enough water also the tray should extend out further beyond the bottle so the birds heads don’t hit the water bottle. I have seen chickadees and finches try to use it but

Had to claim a warranty, because the original was leaking at the seam. Customer Service agent was exceptionally friendly, and professional and initiated a replacement shipment immediately
This product has a serious design flaw: There's not enough headroom between the perch ring and the water vessel for birds to land on it without hitting their heads on the vessel. (I'm skeptical that the images of birds at this waterer are not manipulated.) Even goldfinches, the smallest birds at my feeders, would not use this waterer although a variety of birds came to a waterer I used previously. That one was similar in design (and also a Perky Pet product) but had a wider perch ring and more clearance above it. Unfortunately, the base of that one rusted, so I bought the plastic waterer. After a couple months of non-use by the birds, I realized something was wrong. I purchased the plastic waterer through Country Max, which refused to respond to my request for a refund. Perky Pet should stop manufacturing and selling this product.
We appreciate the feedback. Our testing has shown that birds are able to drink from this waterer without interference. This is not meant for larger birds.

I’ve had the waterer up for 3 weeks but have not seen any birds use it.

I have had this waterer for a year and , honestly I've seen only 1 bird at it. It must have been a fluke to have 3 birds at it for the picture. I do have bird baths and the birds love those. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it as it was a waste----I'm a retired public school teacher so don't have a lot to spare.
