Review RateTwist and Shout by our Window
We love these feeders. We have one outside our kitchen table window and while we are eating, we watch all the birds come and have a nibble or two. We even have Rock Doves that can fit in the opening, just barely. With all the sun, I replace mine once they get old and crackly looking. I do wish there were not as many slots on the bottom as we have some little birds that do the "Twist and Shout" in the feeder and send a good deal of feed to the ground. We enjoy watching them dance! But with a little shipping tape, I've solved that problem and it prevents the feeder from separating when the big birds get in the queue.
Review RateWise choice of birdfeeder!
Very inexpensive way of commencing one's ambition to birdwatch. However, I must confess I simply wanted to allow my pet cats a chance to do the same. It's their favourite hobby! Win-win situation, as inexpensive, cats go crazy and birds get fed (unharmed). This product is exactly what it 'says on the box'. It's terribly simple, it's incredibly easy to set up, it's effective and it is definitely in line with my VFM (value for money) ethos. As a beginner, this is a very wise choice. If you want something more complicated, then upgrade at a later stage. Very happy with this product.
Review RateDoesn't stick to the window
Fell off the window after the first day. Haven't tried putting it back up.Response From Perky-Pet®Susan : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, we apologize for the experience.
To help create a strong suction, we recommend applying a small amount of water or vegetable oil to the suction cup, prior to applying it on a freshly cleaned window.

Review RateWonderful design!I previously had a very similar window feeder that finally just wore out and needed to be replaced. I ordered 2 of these, 1 for myself and 1 for my 92 year old mother who lives in an assisted living facility. I had tried to install hangers on her windows with suction cups, but none of them would stick. No problem with these!! So far they've stuck like glue and the birds seem to love them! My old window feeder didn't have the enclosed sides...just a "dish" to hold the seeds and a roof over the top. This allowed the rain and snow to accumulate and made a real mess. There also were no drainage holes, causing me to drill holes to let the water escape. A few days ago we had a real frog strangling gully washer storm that dumped almost 3 inches of rain in about an hour. This little feeder did its job and kept the contents reasonably dry. I'm so happy with these feeders that a plan to buy a couple more for winter use after I take down my hummingbird feeders. I would highly recommend these feeders...price, ease of use, easy ordering and fast shipping all figure in to this recommendation.
Review RateOur birds love it!We Have 2 and the finches and tit mice love it. Suction cups work great, no slippage. Feed stays dry in the rain. Easy to maintain.
Review RateEasy and great pricesIt was easy to find what I was looking for and it was a good price
Review RateLove this window feeder!I have had several window feeders and by far, this one is the best! It protects the seed from weather and so far my squirrels have not been able to get into this one! I like that is has drainage holes in the bottom to keep the seed from holding moisture and you can detach the feeder from the suction cups when it needs to be cleaned. I would recommend this to fellow birders!
Review RateFeeding birds, chippies and squirrelsI love these window feeders and so does my cat! I fill one with seeds for the birds and one with peanuts for the chipmunks and squirrels. The cat and I both enjoy watching All the activity.
Review RateNo Birds!Like the feeder, love the concept...but no birds have come to the feeder yet. It's been up since December and this is March. Hoping some will show up as the weather warms.
Review RateLove it!I am really glad I decided to get this. I keep it filled with black oil sunflower and safflower. The birds were shy at first but now my house finches and American goldfinches are glued to this feeder. I even have birds squabbling with each other just to get in. The suction cups are heavy duty and has survived many windstorms. Great product and you get to see birds up close.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What are the most popular bird seeds to use?
A: Black Oil Sunflower Seed is the most popular bird seed. It is much smaller than the traditional sunflower seed and best for those birds with smaller bills, such as the sparrow, junco and goldfinch. This seed is accepted by the greatest variety of birds.
Mixed Seed is also popular. It is best to buy the mixes that contain white proso millet, a tiny cream colored seed with a shiny shell. Mixes containing finely cracked corn and black oil sunflower are also preferred by a large number of birds.
Niger (Thistle Seed) is imported from Africa and Asia. Niger won't germinate, but it does have a tendency to become moldy due to lack of air circulation. If you notice mold on the seed, it must be removed from the feeder and the feeder must be cleaned thoroughly.
Q: How do I clean my bird feeders?
A: Before filling your feeder with fresh seed, it is recommended that the following precautions are taken:
- Remove all old seed.
- Soak feeder in water.
- Scrub feeder and allow to air dry.
- Rake and remove accumulated hulls and droppings from underneath the feeders.
- Spread mulch (bark or wood) under the feeder, replace mulch when soiled.
- Thoroughly wash hands after handling and cleaning feeders.
Q: What is the importance of providing water for wild birds?
A: Wild birds need fresh, clean water just as much as they need seed. Birds stay healthy by using water not just for drinking, but also for bathing, cleaning their feathers and to remove parasites. Waterers are better options than bird baths because they provide birds with fresh, clean water that prevents dirt and debris from contaminating it. In hotter climates or seasons, providing water for birds makes it easy for them to have access to a water source and retain their energy. By adding a water source, you also can attract a larger variety of birds to your yard. You may even attract more colorful birds that don't eat seed, but are in need of water!
