The Flipper Feeder is the ...

The Flipper Feeder is the best without a doubt Squirrel proof feeder available and very entertaining also when the squirrels try to get a the bird seed they are thrown off without injury. The feeder should be placed hanging from any branch on a tree etc. very well made you have a rechargeable battery which lasts approx. a month or more before recharging is necessary. I have had my Flipper for about 10 years very durable and trouble free except for occasional cleaning, made of high quality plastic tube and painted metal balance. Great investment and Yankee Droll/Perky Pet excellent consumer friendly company.

I bought a yankee flipper 20+ years ago. I had just moved into a house on a densely wooded lot and had a huge squirrel problem on my feeders. I paid over $100 for it at the time, and took some guff from family members about. Not only has this feeder provided hours of entertainment, but the company has backed up its guarantee twice! First they replaced the battery and gearbox (my fault) after 10 years, but recently replaced the entire unit. All I asked for was a replacement battery and a new plastic tube, and offered to pay for the parts! Without hesitation they told me the new batteries may not be compatible with older units and sent a new unit. Excellent customer service and company!

This is the best bird feeder and truly a squirrel-Prof bird feeder. I love that it holds 5 lbs of bird feed.
Dont wast money on any other bird feeders that say they are squirrel-proof. THIS IS THE BEST. It is so much fun to watch the squirrels get thrown from the feeder.
Outstanding customer service

I am writing to tell that Perkypet lifetime guarantee is the real deal and the customer service team is the BEST. I have had this feeder for at least 8 years. It has served its purpose well and has the added advantage of entertaining friends and family the occasional spinning squirrels.
Several months ago the plastic tube began to crack, chewing squirrels and age. During a cold spell when filling the feeder it cracked top to bottom. I called perkypet , described my problem, and asked for a replacement. The person on the phone checked and they said sure. I received the replacement UPS in 3 days. This company really deserves our support.
When new it worked fine. Over time the spring load weight becomes stiff and unresponsive.

When new it worked fine. Mine is several years older and the rotating ring takes a lot of weight to turn when squirrels get a hold.
The ring is uneven, by that I mean if they hold one section it turns quickly but on another portion it won't turn at all.
I have looked for a way to make the spring load work better. Tried WD40 which improved the rotating but not the weight issue.
Perhaps the spring needs to be replaced?

This is a replacement of an old bird feeder which used to be very popular for the local birds. Since the first day, I changed the old bird feeder and hang this new one there has been not been even a single bird to approach it.

I’ve had 2 of these and the gray squirrels broke both of them. They hung onto the perch repeatedly and broke it off. Was not able to get replacement parts so I have an unusable feeder.
After going through multiple feeders ...

After going through multiple feeders that didn't keep the squirrels out, I'm delighted to say we have found the ONE. Setup was very quick and straightforward after a quick overview of the steps. I really like the tall size of the cylinder, makes it very easy to reach in our tree and replace with more seeds - I don't need a ladder now. There's also plenty of space on the ring to allow for multiple birds. We're extremely happy and would highly recommend.

Our squirrels knocked it off the hanger and devoured all the seed!

Oh no! We are sorry to hear that happened. Try and hang your feeder at least twelve feet from any tree trunk or limb and at least four feet up from the ground. This will prevent squirrels from either jumping from the tree or up from the ground onto the feeder. Feel free to give us a call at 800-352-9164 for further recommendations and tips, we're happy help!

There was no green thing for the middle of mine the seeds just fall out. Squirrels just hang from the top to eat the seeds. It sure not worth the money I payed for it thank you.
