Now you can offer nectar to hummingbirds without the fear of artificial dyes with More Birds® Bird
Health+™ 32
oz Clear Liquid Hummingbird Nectar Concentrate! Our nectar has no artificial dyes or flavors. Simply mix one part
liquid concentrate with three parts warm water, then stir until completely mixed–no boiling required. One 32 oz
bottle of concentrate makes 128 oz of nectar. The resealable container allows you to only use what you need,
while the leftover nectar in the bottle always stays fresh. Vitamins and calcium are added to promote successful
egg hatching. More Bird's nectars are made from a blend of natural sugars found in flowers that birds feed from.
Mix one part liquid concentrate with three parts water, then stir. Refrigerate any leftover nectar mixture for up
to 2 weeks. Unused concentrate can be stored for several seasons at room temperature.
I ordered from Amazon but the nectar came from Petco. It isn't clear/ cloudy like the other bottle I have. Has a yellow tint. Not sure if it's safe for the birds. If there is a new formula is it supposed to be yellow?
We recently bought 4 new hummingbird feeders and bought this nectar. At first, they didn't seem to want anything to do with them. Soon, a couple of birds started showing up. Now, we have their uncles, friends, aunts, and cousins visiting the feeders every day. Will definitely be getting more!
I usually use the Homestead but they do not make it any more. Very good for the hummers. This is OK not as concentrated but good and I do not use what they say to use and have no problems getting hummers. Will have to see if some store has it as the shipping is way over as I was going to order three bottles but the shipping was almost the same not good to me and if I have to spend up to $50 to get free shipping no place to put that much. I got two bottles from Homestead and the last one of theirs and two of the bottles leaked some MoreBirds as I tolled Homestead they fix the leak problem what will you do?? Need to show dates sooner on the order and shipping cost. So why does it need to be in the refrigerator as Homestead did not?? Right now 6/20/21 it is 100+ put side for the 4th day and they still come .
I just started using this brand of hummer food. I used to just make my own but liked the idea of the extra vitamins, etc. Well, it really increased the traffic at my feeders. I've had to go from 2 feeders to 4 to try and limit the fighting. I also like it because it doesn't spoil as quickly and is so much easier to use than homemade.
Warning, the new 32 oz concentrate is weaker than the old homestead syrup. Yes, the old is syrupy the new is not. The old label stating 73% content is reasonable. The new mix is labeled the same. There is no way this is correct on directly comparing old to new. Still have 4 bottles of the old to compare viscosity side by side. (If interested read up on sugar syrup mixing)
I just bought 10 bottles and have no idea what the correct mixture should be. They are mislabeled.
Need to know correct sugar content of new product to mix correctly. A bit irrated....
I have a brand new feeder and put this feed into it. I have not seen a single hummer. I live in the desert and have hummer in another part of the yard but they are not visiting this feeder/food.
I usually use the Homestead clear hummingbird nectar concentrate but was having trouble finding it. I found out that More Birds Bird Health bought out homestead so I bought that. The birds don’t seem to like it. They stopped coming to the feeders. It looks like they may have changed the formula because the nectar concentrate wasn’t clear but had a slight white haze. I would suggest going back to the homestead formula.
Was happy to get my hummingbird food. I was having trouble finding the clear food with the Vitamins in it. Contacted Classic Brands and I was able to purchase the large bottles. Now I have enough nectar to keep my 6 feeders full and my hummingbirds very happy. Great product and service. Thanks.
