The Perky-Pet® Our Best Glass Hummingbird Feeder promises hours of hummingbird-watching pleasure and is perfect for any bird lover. To use the ant moat, fill the top of the lid with water.
Easy to Clean

My husband brought this home since I was needing a 6th feeder due to the large population feeding this yr. I didn't even have to try it since I immediately didn't like the design. I've been feeding hummers for 30 yrs and I know what they like & don't like and the same goes for me. I don't like the top & how it attaches with the tiny hook, the shallow bottom or the newer flowers with the protruding tip. I hope you bring back the older design which I have used since they came out. They are still in great shape after at least 15 yrs or more, I've had them so long I can't remember when I bought them. If it isn't broke, don't change it.

I've been using your original glass feeders for over 30 years. Birds loved them and I regularly purchased them. Now with the new modifications I found the birds don't feed from these new feeders.. I set them side by side with my originals and the will avoid the new ones every time...I swap them just to see if it is the location and they still gravitate to the original feeders. I think they have a harder time drawing the fluid from the new ones. I just found at home depot they had some new versions that use a rubber light pink or purple flowers and the birds like these much better...
Please dump the others and stick with these newest versions......so 1 star with these and 5 for the newest version.

Oh come on! I cracked one of my hummingbird feeders, needed a new one and found " lil' sweetie" online. It was terrible! It leaked, it got moldy, and hummingbirds rarely came!
Two weeks ago I purchased a " perky pet" and its been non-stop hummingbirds. I am tossing the other one, thos is a keeper. Ratings are all skewed!

The company in general deserves zero star! I’ve been waiting for 2 of these feeders for over a month because of the 1 year warranty. They’re never in stock on purpose! I won’t be doing business with this company ever again! They don’t care! Maybe they will when they go out of business with all of their 3 stars or less feeders. 👋

It attracts bees and ants!

Two pictures are worth 1000 words. This works as a bee attracter, so you can use it to keep bees away from your other feeders. The ants love it too! There are many more ants INSIDE the feeder than are in the moat, as you can see. This feeder is useless!

Bees and ants can become more active around hummingbird feeders, especially during periods of hot weather, nectar shortages, or if nectar has spilled on the outside of the feeder. To help reduce insect activity, we recommend cleaning any spilled nectar from the feeder, ensuring the ant moat remains filled with water, changing the nectar regularly, and placing the feeder in a shaded location if possible.
If bees continue to be an issue, temporarily removing the feeder for a day or two or relocating it a short distance can sometimes encourage them to move on while allowing hummingbirds to quickly find it again.

Bought this based on it being the best, most popular hummingbird feeder. Overall, well built except for the s-hook connection on the top. It is flimsy, and broke in the first week rendering the feeder useless. Don't waste your $19.99.

I initially enjoyed the size of this feeder because I have a high demand population of hummingbirds, however, after one year of use, the plastic reservoir has a petroleum smell (I assume from degradation) and I do not feel comfortable providing this as a feeding source for the hummingbirds any longer. I’ll be switching to a metal reservoir (which hopefully won’t leach anything else harmful). My wish is that if any plastic is used in feeding wildlife, it is of the highest quality, and alternatively, that we move away from easily degradable materials overall. I would like the material list to have third party certification and not simply name ‘plastic’ as a material. More details needed to understand the potential downstream effects of degradation over time and how this may affect reproduction.

I'm so disappointed. I am a 30 year veteran feeding hummingbirds. I have bought several of the classic large glass feeders and the birds loved them. However after purchasing a few of your new updated feeders I found a huge decline in feeding.. I also noticed the plastic quality has greatly degraded. The red has faded in just a short period...my original feeders are still looking great after years of use.. perkypets...if you care about your business and your hummingbirds...please bring back your original classic quality feeders.
I would never purchase any more of your new ones.

I understand that you do not carry replacement parts. Where can I purchase replacement parts for the 30 ounce hummingbird feeder? I have multiple feeders and the wrap-around perches continually break. I tape them back together, but that is not a great solution. Your product would be more desirable if it did not require replacement of the entire feeder when the plastic parts fail.

This is more of a suggestion rather than a question since you have said repeatedly to others that you do not sell replacement parts. Like others, I need replacement parts. The glass broke on one, the plastic loops where the birds perch broke on several others, and I don't want to buy a whole new unit just to replace a single part. Please consider changing your strategy and selling replacement parts to better support your users. As for me, I won't be buying any more of these feeders, as they are rather expensive and become useless depending on whichever part fails. There are many other vendors in the marketplace with less expensive feeders. I prefer your feeders but am not willing to pay $35 because a single part broke. Should you ever decide to start selling replacement parts, then I'll be a buyer again.
