All birds need water, even birds that don’t eat bird seed. By adding a water source, you’ll attract a larger variety of feathered visitors, including colorful birds like warblers and bluebirds that may not eat from bird feeders. Provide backyard birds with a fresh, clean water source by adding the Perky-Pet® Daisy Vase Vintage Bird Waterer to your bird feeder collection.
The traditional vase style glass bottle has a beautiful, blue luster finish giving it a unique sheen just like a pool of fresh water. The delicate embossed details surrounding the neck and top of the bottle offer added elegance to this antique style waterer.
18 oz Capacity & Circular Perch—The brushed nickel base features a circular wrap-around perch so birds can comfortably sit and drink from anywhere they choose. With a 18 oz water capacity, you will have plenty of room for bird visitors stopping by for a drink! Use the attached metal hanger to place your waterer near your other bird feeders, so birds can easily locate the fresh water source.
Easy to Use Wide Mouth Opening—To fill your waterer, simply unscrew the bottle from the base, fill with water, replace the base and invert the waterer to create a tight vacuum seal. The necessary amount of water will be dispensed to keep the tray consistently full with clean water. Filling and cleaning are super simple with the convenient wide mouth opening. Be sure to change your water every few days, and clean thoroughly every 2 weeks.

Attracting a larger variety of birds by adding a water source
I LOVE this waterer and its vintage charm.
I have a trick to unscrew the feeder for cleaning/refill-
1. Find a long handled utensil with a thin neck.
2. Keep the waterer right-side up, placing one hand on top of the glass and using your other hand to place the end of the long-necked utensil in the opening of the metal bottom.
3. Turn the handle of the utensil while keeping your other hand firmly on top of the glass.
4. Voila! Unscrewed.
I hope this helps everyone to better enjoy this cute bird waterer!
This bird waterer IS very pretty and I love that ❤️ However, function ability is a problem as I can’t get the bottom to screw off so that I can refill it with water. I would give it 4 stars if I could get the bottom to screw off for filling. Perhaps my husband could unstick it but he is in a cast on one arm and not able to help me with this. Another (smallish) problem is the bottom is so shallow that if the wind rocked it just a bit some could spill out. I can’t tell if birds are drinking the water down or if there is spillage. Needs refilling frequently. I may see if a good male neighbor could screw the bottom off for me. If it worked properly I would love it.
Oh no, we are sorry to hear about this experience! The base should simply unscrew from the glass bottle. For further assistance, please feel free to contact us directly at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973). We're happy to help!
To help prevent this experience, we recommend keeping the base and the bottle tightly assembled to form a vacuum seal. We also recommend keeping the waterer out of the direct sunlight as liquid expands when it gets warmer. Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or for additional assistance.

I love this waterer. It looks so pretty in the tree. The birds love it. It is easy to clean and there is not a lot of slime and algae buildup like there was in my former dish style waterer. It was a big problem solver for me.
All my water poured out as soon as I hung it. This is not a good product for water, I will use my seeds in it. Very pretty addition to my backyard though.
Hello Brenda,We apologize for this experience and are happy to provide assistance. After the bottle is secured tightly to the base, the waterer should be turned upright quickly to create a vacuum inside. This will keep the water from continually flowing out.Feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any additional questions.

I bought this waterer and my birds love it! I have to refill it about every week. I had a little problem getting the bottom off to refill-it, rusted a little bit, but my husband suggested I put a little vegetable oil in it before putting it back together and that fixed it right up. It doesn't get stuck anymore. Love it..
