I purchased 2 Perky Pet hummingbird Grand Master feeder from Amazon and they are both junk.
Base leaks from the bottom side on both once they were filled. I guess I'll throw them away and go to the Wild Bird store and buy some good ones!

Holes in yellow buttons are way too big now. Yellow jackets are able to crawl in and out causing them to swarm. I’ve own several of these over the years and not had this problem before. I will be looking elsewhere to replace next year.

Yellow jackets and bees are often attracted to leaking feeders, and we recommend ensuring the feeder is not leaking to help deter these unwanted visitors. I love this feeder, but why don't you also make same design in a 2 cup size. This is your only feeder that does not leak

These feeders are awesome!!! Easy to clean as it all comes apart. I would not recommend filling to capacity, two cups max since you need to change the nectar every 3-4 days (more frequently when it is hot). The hummingbirds love it up north.....

THEY LEAK !

I have had 12 of these for over 10 years. This year I decided to replace them due to "crazing" of the plastic tube. I had to go through Tractor Supply instead of being able to order straight from Perky Pet. Have put all 8 of the new feeders out and all they do is leak feed all over my porch. All 8 feeders leak from the underneath of the bottom of the tray. The flowers do not seal tightly and have already started attracting bees. CRAPPY JOB Perky Pet ! MADE IN CHINA !

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We are sorry to hear that your feeder is leaking. When filling a feeder, it is important to ensure that the base and bottle are tightened so they are snug. We also suggest hanging the feeder in a shaded location, free of wind and direct sunlight. As the sun warms up the nectar inside the bottle, the liquid will expand, which can cause some to leak. If the area is overly windy, the feeder will tilt, disrupting the vacuum inside the feeder, allowing the nectar to pour out.
If these tips don't resolve the leaking, it can be returned to the retailer for either a refund or exchange.

I love this feeder! And so do the hummingbirds. We have hundreds of birds in the summer as they migrate north. I have to fill 2 of these twice a day.
Holds alot of sugar water, but plastic parts break easily

This unit holds alot of sugar water, but it leaked too soon after using only about 3 months.

We're sorry to hear about that! Be sure to check that the base is tight, and that the bottle neck threads line up correctly to help prevent leaking. For best results, we recommend hanging the feeder in the shade as well as out of high traffic or windy areas. Our feeders are covered under a 1-year replacement policy.
