Good idea but leaks By Mary234

I seem to have the same problem as another customer...the feeder leaks from the perches. What a mess. I tried reseating the bottle and quickly inverting it, but it still leaked out. Very disappointing. I love my other Perky Pet feeders.

Hello Mary,

Thank you for providing this feedback. We are very sorry to hear of this experience! Is the feeder hung level and kept out of the direct sunlight? If not, we recommend adjusting the placement to help prevent leaking.

We hope this information was helpful! Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or for additional assistance.

difficult to clean By birdlover

Worked fine during the spring and summer and no bees were able to get in, but I agree with the previous review that the base should be two parts because I'm not sure how to properly clean and drain it for winter storage. Also, in spite of its location under a 3 foot overhang on the North side of the house, the orange plastic faded badly and doesn't look very nice after only one season's use.

We apologize for this experience. To clean, we recommend placing a handful of uncooked rice in the reservoir, add water and shake. The rice will go to the hard to reach areas and help to clean the feeder.

This product is covered by a 30 day return policy and a one year warranty with a copy of the purchase receipt. Please feel free to contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.

Good but could be better By Lucky213

The birds love the feeder and I no longer have bees getting into the nectar. However, the base design makes it very difficult to clean. Please think about making the base two parts that can be opened for easier cleaning

I would not recommend this feeder. It does not seal tightly as do the Hummingbird feeders. By blueeyes

Within the past week I purchased the Perky Pet Oriole Feeder 24 ounce capacity. I followed the directions and placed the feeder on a paper towel prior to hanging it outside from a shepherd's hook. I was disappointed to find that it leaked from the bottom where the perches are located. Since I thought I had a defected product my husband went ahead and purchased a second one. The same thing happened. Now I have to return two of the feeders to Wal-Mart where I purchased them.

Perky-Pet® strives to create high-quality feeders for our customers and the birds to enjoy. We regret to hear that what was received did not meet these expectations.

When the bottle is tightly secured to the base, and the feeder is turned upright quickly to create a vacuum, it should not leak.  Our feeders are covered by a 30 day return policy and a one year replacement warranty.

Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for additional assistance.

Q.I just bought the Perky Pet Oriole feeder and I can't find any instructions on how to clean the bottom/part that hold the solution of the feeder. Does it come apart?

The base does not come apart. We recommend filling the feeder wtih a solution of one-part vinegar to four-parts water, add a handful of uncooked rice and shake vigorously. Then, the feeder can be rinsed thoroughly.
