Review RateBlue jays down to chickadees love this feeder.
I bought 2 of these same feeders about 18 years ago from a local store. They have gone through being manipulated by bears, blown off the hanger, chewed on by squirrels, etc. Birds of all kinds use the feeder. So of course I went back to Perky-Pet to replace them.
Review Ratemost humane capacity
This one is a great feeder for many reasons. The lid is superior to the ones that twist off and it is quality workmanship. Unfortunately, the handle flops from side to side when I reach to hang it, so I need a stool, now. I couldn't find a 4lb gazebo style when I bought this a few months ago as I needed a replacement. I found a pleasant surprise when I realized that the local raptors, some tremendous birds (peregrines, golden eagles, hawks), haven't been leaving any sign that they are nearly as able to dive or swoop and make a catch with the smaller feeder. It seems that fewer birds on one feeder allow for a better escape route. So, I downsized my other 4lb feeder which had 12 stations to one with 6 stations, and now I just have to figure out the local kitties!
Review RateHighly recommend
I love my new feeder! I also bought the pole which attaches to my deck railing. The red color matches my red deck and the birds fly in to snack all day. With a rim that goes around the feeder, several birds can perch at the same time. Unfortunately the squirrels have figured out how to eat from the feeder too (even after greasing the pole). But when the squirrel wraps around the feeder to gorge itself, it does help to move the seeds in the center so they become accessible for the birds. We have had several big wind storms in the past few weeks, and the feeder has held up.
Review RateWonderful product
Birds seem to love all the feeders I purchased, so much so that I bought more for family. And the squirrels have been unsuccessful in their endeavors.
Review RateSuper feeder however...
I agree with the Nov 2019 review about needing an interior cone to keep seeds accessible. Great feeder otherwise and so large the seeds last a long time. May even buy a 2nd to keep at the ready while the first awaits cleaning.
Review Ratelong lasting
Have had a No-No wild bird feeder for at least 10 years. Don't see it offered anymore. This is the toughest feeder ever! It has withstood several bear attacks through the years and survived, a little twisted, with a bent tray, but still going strong! The birds love their feeder.
Review RateGreat cardinal feederThis feeder is really well made. My cardinals love it. It holds a good amount of seed. I want to buy a few more and put them around the yard. If you want an easy feeder, this one is great!
Review RateAttract a wide range of birds and creaturesI've had this Cardinal feeder for 5-6 years (bought it from local bird feed store) and so many birds in addition to the Cardinals and squirrels love it. I have it outside my kitchen window and watching it and all my other feeders are such a joy. I bought this replacement (I leave them out 365 days a year and keep full) since the top literally rusted off of the original one. This new one I bought directly from Perky Pet which was nice, but the top doesn't fit down as well as the first one and I have to push it down to get the top to lock (I'm worried the paint will come off at that point and cause rust sooner) but still I hope it lasts as long as the first as it's a big hit. I'm doubtful though.
Review RateThis feeder works well
This feeder works well, the seeds in the center are un-reachable, and can get moldy when wet. This could be improved by: 1. Adding a sheet metal cone 3-3 1/2 inches in diameter at the base, that would direct the seeds laterally as the level of the seeds drops.Response From Perky-Pet®Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative

I bought this feeder a couple months ago to attract the Cardinals. It worked, I have amazing photos of them feeding off it. I absolutely love it.
