The Perky-Pet® Favored Pinch-Waist Hummingbird Feeder brings together some of our most popular features in one great feeder. Front and center is our iconic pinch-waist glass bottle—a favored silhouette of many birders. Plus, the base features a whopping five flower-shaped ports with our bird-preferred U-shaped perches. Meanwhile, the wide-mouth bottle, simple disassembly, and insect defenses all combine to make this a convenient feeder for birders of any experience level. Find the best seat in your house now, because hummingbirds are sure to be on their way!
Clear, Wide-Mouth Bottle for Easy Cleaning
Filling your feeder doesn’t have to be messy and frustrating. That’s why we’ve designed the Perky-Pet® Favored Pinch-Waist Hummingbird Feeder with a convenient wide-mouth bottle. It makes filling easier, resulting in fewer spills as you pour nectar. Plus, the 16 oz bottle is made of clear, hardened glass so you can effortlessly monitor nectar levels at a glance, so you always know when it’s time to refill.
Keeps Insects Out
The Perky-Pet® Favored Pinch-Waist Hummingbird Feeder excels at keeping out unwanted insects thanks to its built-in bee guards and ant moat. These features combine to protect your nectar so it’s reserved just for your hungry hummers. To keep ants away, simply fill the top of the lid with water.
Accommodates Multiple Birds
The Perky-Pet® Favored Pinch-Waist Red Glass Hummingbird Feeder boasts five ports with bird-preferred U-shaped perches. The vibrant red color and flower-shaped ports are perfect for attracting hummers, while the number of ports ensures there’s enough room for multiple birds to dine at the same time.
Comes Apart for Thorough Cleaning
Hummingbirds prefer to visit fresh, clean feeding stations. To make that easier, this feeder disassembles completely for effortless cleaning. Remove the ant moat, base and bottle with ease – even the built-in bee guards come apart! In addition, the wide-mouth design allows you to access hard-to-reach spots of the bottle. Remember to clean your feeder at least once per week with a mild soap and water solution to prevent mildew buildup.
Terrible design. The reservoir is so shallow that if the wind blows the feeder the nectar starts dripping out of the feeding ports. Such a waste of nectar. Will not, nor would I recommend ever purchasing this feeder.
I have been feeding hummingbirds for 50 years and have tried almost all the different feeders. The colored ones because they are pretty for me to look at, the flat ones, the round ones, skinny ones and the fat ones. This one in my mind is the best. Yes, it will spill nectur when it is not hanging straight, but my "hummers" always go to this one over the others and to me that is what counts. My only dislike is that the hole on the cap for hanging the feeder often gives way and the feeder falls. I believe this to be a flaw in the manufacturing of the cap, the hole for the hook is a weak spot due to the manufacturing process. Regardless, I won't buy any other feeder, I want my "hummer" to keep coming back ... and they do.
I currently have 6 new ones hanging, because the other 10 old ones suffered the same fate...THEY ALL FAIL AT THE LOOP ON THE RED SCREW IN TOP...EVERYONE OF THRM! Either that's part of your marketing plan or your engineers are idiots! How hard can it be to beef up the loop?! They've been exactly the same except for the rest bar which did change. It certainly makes me skeptical about the quality of your other products!
Worst humming bird feeder ever after you fill it and turn it over to mount it all of the liquid runs right out of the artificial flowers in a matter of a couple of minutes. I wasted my money on this feeder. It's a piece of junk.
It was a great feeder while it lasted. But the top broke, and apparently no replacement part is offered. So now I have to throw the rest away. I know it isn't an expensive feeder, but I hate throwing the glass jar and base away when all I need is a replacement top.
The Perky-Pet Favored 16 oz Pinch-Waist Glass Hummingbird Feeder is a great feeder, except for one thing: the loop at the top breaks after a year.
I noticed that the top fades while the base looks almost new. The plastic used for the top by Perky-Pet becomes very brittle, and the loop breaks.
I now have two feeders that I am unable to use.
I bought this at the end of 2023 and first used it this year. It leaks. It looks like there is the same issue as another Perky Pet Hummingbird feeder had: on the very bottom, cracks radiate out from the very center. As was mentioned before, replacement p
Purchased at Lowe’s. In 2 days it leaked what liquid food I had in it. The leakage comes from the flower itself. I like the concept but it isn’t cost effective to purchase. I couldn’t afford the food for the hummingbirds.
Need to make replacement parts for these feeders. Hummers love them but the base (red petals and yellow bulb parts) often break, leaving the entire feeder unusuable. I currenly have (4) of the glass parts but no bases that are intact. I am very delicate handling them but they are not made to last.
I hate to waste materials- PLEASE MAKE THESE MORE SUSTAINABLE.
Bought this feeder last fall and used for the first time this spring This product constantly leaks. Stick mess underneath the feeder. Never have had the problem before, I will have to use the old one.
Will have to look for other brands of feeders.
Can the screw-on base be purchased separately (with or without the flower petals and bee guards ).........the original was a casualty of extreme freezing temperatures and split before the feeder was brought indoors but the glass reservoir was still intact

We're sorry to hear that this happened to the feeder. Replacement bases are not available for this feeder.

Can you please start selling replacement tops for the hourglass hummingbird feeders. The plastic hook breaks and I don't want to throw away a feeder just because I am only missing the top piece. There is enough waste in this world and I would like to stop adding to it unnecessarily. Your help on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

PLEASE make base and especially tops for the hoour glass hummingbird feeders. The LAs Vegas Heat destroys the plastic hanging loop. I have one that the bottom did crack from the heat and leaks. I have about eight of these glasses and four I cannot use because of broken plastic hangers or cracked bottoms.. I'd really like to get replacement parts..

How do I reinstall the bee guards? I'm enjoying the feeder and thr hummingbirds love it, but after washing i can't figure out how to get the bee guards back on. Are they snap or twist or something else?
Question by: Rebecca on May 30, 2025, 7:23 AM
Thank you for reaching us. The bee guards are snap-on, just push them on the feeding port.

Hi, I have a Favored Pinch-waist Glass feeder # 204CP-4. Is there a o-ring to go between the glass and feeder part? My feeder slowly empties onto the sidewalk below , the ants love it, but I 'm not trying to feed the ants. Do you have any ideas about stopping the slow drip? Thanks.
Question by: Dick Mushel on Jul 9, 2025, 5:24 PM
Hi, thank you for reaching us. I'm sorry that your feeder is leaking. There is no o-ring between the tube and the base of the feeder. We recommend cleaning the feeder with hot water and soap. Sometimes it may have some plastic debris that may be causing the leaking. If that doesn't solve the leaking, please give us a call at 1-855-737-5973, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 7 pm EST. One of our agents would be more than happy to assist you.
