With the Perky-Pet® Handheld & Tabletop Hummingbird Feeder you can enjoy feeding your beautiful feathered friends from your hands. When not hand feeding, place the feeder on a tabletop or other flat surface. The pop-off lid and shallow dish design allow for easy filling and cleaning. While you enjoy time saved from maintaining it, your hummingbirds wonโt be able to resist the feederโs lifelike, hollyhock-inspired flowers. They are bright, soft and flexible just like the flowers they flock to in nature! The flowers' tapered design also acts as a natural bee guard to keep bees out.
Feed From Your Hand
If youโve always wanted to watch your hummingbirds from a closer angle, this feeder is just the ticket. With the Perky-Pet® Handheld & Tabletop Hummingbird Feeder you can enjoy feeding hummingbirds right from your hand! The lightweight feeder fits comfortably in your palm so you wonโt fatigue, making it easier to keep the feeder steady while your feathered friends dine.
Place on a Table
When youโre not hand feeding your feathered friends, the feeder can be placed on a tabletop or other flat surface so hummingbirds can continue using it on their own! This feature is also key in letting hummingbirds get used to the feeder. Plus, the 2 oz capacity provides a large enough nectar supply so they can enjoy feeding from it for some time after youโve set it down.
Feeding Ports Inspired by Nature
Hummingbirds are accustomed to drinking nectar from flowers. Thatโs why weโve developed this feeder with soft, flexible feeding ports inspired by the hollyhock flower to offer a more natural look and feel. The vibrant color and realistic flower shape are perfect for attracting hummers, while the three ports ensure thereโs enough room for multiple birds to dine from your hand simultaneously.
Naturally Keeps Out Bees
With this feeder, thereโs no need for an added bee guard. The specially designed feeding ports feature a tapered โstemโ that prevents bees from getting into the nectar, while hummingbirds will have no trouble at all! Itโs a natural way of keeping out pesky bees without adding extra parts for you to clean.
Easy to Clean & Fill
Hummingbirds prefer to visit fresh, clean feeding stations. For your convenience, the shallow, dish-style feeder is incredibly easy to fill and clean. Just pop off the lid! The flowers can be removed as well to access all the nooks and crannies. Remember to clean your feeder every few days to prevent mildew buildup; clean more often in hot weather.
How To Be A Hand Feeding Pro
Handheld hummingbird feeding is an amazing experience; however, itโs important to note that it requires patience, some skills, and even a little luck. Follow these steps to get started.
Introduce the feeder - Fill the feeder with 2 oz of nectar and place it outside on a flat surface to let hummingbirds get used to the new feeder.
Introduce yourself - Once hummingbirds have started useing the feeder, introduce yourself to the area. Start slowly by watching them froma close distance to get them comfortable with you nearby
Hold the feeder - When the hummingbirds are familiar with you and the feeder, hold the feeder in your hand close to the original location. Ve very still and enjoy the show.

We have many Hummingbirds to our hanging feeders. They pay no attention to this. IMHO is the pale red flower and would do well with yellow & bright red.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that! To take full advantage of this feeder, we recommend trying to temporarily remove any established feeders until this one is being utilized. Our birds love this feeder ...

Our birds love this feeder whether in hand or sitting on our deck rails. We have over a dozen of these. It is not uncommon to see a bird on each of our deployed feeders, as many as up to 6 during prime feeding times. Not sure whether it is the softer rubber flowers or the color of the feeder, but they prefer them to our more traditional feeders. We have replaced the flowers with the flowers that have the individual perches on some, and they have become even more popular. While it is impossible to predict what these little feathered beasts will do, ours love them.
The birds we feed love this feeder. We set them on the deck rail and it is not uncommon to have 2 or more enjoying them. They have gone to using our more traditional feeders less while favoring these. One time there were 6 Anna's sharing the feeder. Hand feeding works for us as well. Here is one of our Anna's enjoying the setting sun.
This feeder is cute and the parts fit together OK but the hummingbirds just ignore it and go to the hanging feeder. We have tried everything and just can't get the birds to use this one.
Thank you for this feedback. It can take some time for birds to become accustomed to a new feeder in their environment. You could temporarily remove established feeders to encourage them to try the new one out.

Wonderful, Hummer really talks when we spend this time together........I will be buying more for gifts. Thank You.......
It’s been outside for a number of days, placed near different existing feeders. Even when the others became empty the birds never touched this one. I don’t think they recognize it as a food source, at least not yet. More time will tell. Our Anna’s birds seem to prefer the smallest single-port feeders suction cupped to a window or hung from a hanging pot, with Happy Hummers clear nectar. Only Rufous migrating thru ever go for the old red hourglass one with PerkyPet red food anymore.
Birds are creatures of habit and it can take time for them to visit a new feeder, particularly if it is a style that is different from ones they are accustomed to. Please feel free to contact us at 855-737-5973 with any questions, we're happy to help! -Kathryn

Nice quality made product. Can't wait to try it out. I have to wait until next season, since the hummingbirds have since migrated.
my mom's dream for summer was to have the hummingbirds eat out of her hands... we received this feeder in the mail yesterday. she sat outside from noon until 5pm and got lots of pictures and videos of doing just that!
Nicely made, not promising so far. Had one flurry of migrating hummers and thought they would go to it. Replaced a couple of flowers with yellow and got a little response, but no hand held feeding yet.
