Review RateLeaks continuously
Received this as a gift at Christmas. Just got my Mother's Day flower basket, and put the feeder in it for the first time. All was OK until the sun came out the next day, then I came home to a half-empty feeder, a messy deck, and a constant drip from the feeder. Very disappointing.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative
We are sorry to hear your feeder is leaking! When hanging, we recommend placing feeders out of direct sunlight as the head will cause the nectar to expand and leak out of the ports. This feeder is covered by our 30-day guarantee and a 1-year replacement policy. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for assistance.

Review RateHit and miss
This seemed like a good feeder. My first one lasted two seasons. Eventually the red cap cracked along half its circumference. This may have been due to me over tightening the cap but I don’t think I ever had it excessively tight after a filling. It probably cracked due to repeated tightening over time. I purchased a replacement feeder (same one) yesterday. Thought I was back in business but to my surprise the sugar water steadily drips out. Why? I don't think the first feeder had a steady drip. Maybe it did and I never noticed. What’s strange is if you put plain water in either feeder it doesn’t drip out! I can’t figure that out. Maybe because plain water is less dense? To confirm the new feeder wasn’t defective I put sugar water in the old feeder and used the new cap. Same result...leaks! I hope the engineers at Perky Pet take a second look at this design. I don’t know about the leak but I would take a look at the red cap. Finer, multiple threads on the tube and cap would be better than a single coarse thread. A thicker wall section cap would better also. It would withstand extra tightening as well.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateA drippy mess!
I was delighted to find this small size, since the heat in our area evaporates hummingbird food fairly quickly. But what a disappointment! Tried to use them in a large patio flower pot. The lightweight wire would not stand in the soil. When that problem was corrected, it took only a few hours for the ants to discover it, made much easier since the feeder was dripping. When we tried hanging the containers from mounted hooks, the bottles still dripped continuously. When we tilted the bottles slightly to see if that would help, we could see that the liquid was leaking from the cap's edge. Nothing but a mess from start to finish. Very disappointing.Response From Perky-Pet®Kathryn : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RateI love this feeder!
I absolutely love this little feeder! I put it in the flower pots that surround my back porch and the hummers will come right up beside me to eat! It's so neat getting to see them up-close and personal. With the food being a distraction, they don't even seem to mind how close I am sitting to them while I eat. A great little feeder.

Hummers seem to like this feeder, but the feeding hole is too large and all the food leaks out in less than a day. Costs too much to keep food available for the birds. This is a real problem.Response From Perky-Pet®Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative
