Review RateReplacement Does Not Leak!
This is a re-review of this product. The first one leaked. Customer service responded and urged me to contact them, which I did. They promptly sent out a replacement, which does NOT leak. Not sure why, since they look identical. Such great customer service deserves 5 stars. BTW, I think i was able to fix the leaky one. I used a toothpick and put a very small amount of superglue on the inside of the hole, therby reducing the diameter by a small amount. It no longer leaks. But, I have not yet confirmed that birds can feed from it after this modification.
Review RateDrips/ Leaks: Unusable
I bought this at my local garden center. All the fluid dripped/leaked out in a short period of time. At first I though it might have been because the mixture was still warm when filled. So, tried letting it come to room temp, tried cooler (right out of fridge) and tried ambient outside temp. Turned it over quickly as suggested. Not in sun. I have exhausted all methods I can think of, but it all leaks out over a few hours (at most). The only use is to attract ants on the floor of my porch. Cute idea, but worthless to me.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
When the feeder is kept level and out of the direct sunlight, it should not leak. We are very sorry this was not your experience and would like to make it right! This feeder is covered by a 30 day return policy and a one year warranty. Please feel free to contact Our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for further assistance.
Love these feeders! They are easy to clean and the hummers love them too. Unfortunate that they no longer make the bee guards. Will need to find a similar brand then they wear out☹️
Review RatePoor design = money wasted
Poorly engineered, a breeze knocks it off the thin wire. Tried to reset it but the wire spins and drops the feeder. After 2 drops the bee guard split and the port cracked. Not happy!Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Review RatePoor / defective
Very excited to try these.....but they leak! Bought 2 of them at Fred Meyer in Spokane, they were on sale for $1.99 each. The liquid just leaked out within 1 hour.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We are sorry to hear this feeder did not meet your expectations! To help prevent this experience, we recommend hanging the feeders level. Also, keeping them out of the direct sunlight will help keep the liquid from expanding.

Review RateReplacement Bee Guards Still Not Available, and 205Y Doesn't Fit
I am *mostly* happy with this product, though it does drip - I'll try again with the advice previously written about creating a vacuum. What makes me unhappy is that I cannot get any replacement bee guards, and the link that you have provided above (https://www.perkypet.com/perky-pet-replacement-hinged-bee-guard-184371r) does not work. It just goes to a generic bird feeder page https://www.perkypet.com/store/bird-feeders . When I try searching your site for the 184371r, it cannot be found. Any assistance that you can provide would be most helpful.Response From Perky-Pet®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize as replacement parts are no longer available for this feeder. For further assistance, please feel free to contact us directly. Our Consumer Relations Team can be reached at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973).
Review RateThe hummingbirds love them, and they are easy to clean and refill.
We bought these to replace similar feeders. The hummingbirds prefer these that hang on our windows over the larger ones on the shepherd's hooks out in the yard. The large opening makes it easier to clean these than our other ones. Only one season so far on these. We've yet to see how they do in the sun. Our previous ones were affected by the sunlight - the red plastic became brittle and broke easy after about 2 seasons.
Review Rateplanter hummer feeder is not great
Didn't think I'd like it at all - it is nice but a bit flimsy
Review Rategreat design
I have used this type of feeder for at least 20 years. The beauty of it, when you unscrew the red cap at the bottom, there is a wide mouth so you can easily clean out any mold or ants that get inside. This product is wonderful.
Review RateWhat a pleasant way to enjoy feeding these birds!
I love the feeder and so do my hummers. I am giving these as "stocking stuffers" at Christmas and adding them to birthday presents throughout the year. My only negative comment is that the hangers are much too flimsy and I have to make my own. Each year the number of hummers I have at these feeders increases. It is so simple to fill and to clean the feeders. This feeder deserves 5 stars but the hangers are a disappointment.
