I have a box full of these. I used to love them. The bee guards break. The replacement bee guards leak. It appears that the ports are slightly different diameters between older tubes and newer ones. Regardless, the replacement bee guards leak on both. Considering how many people are commenting with the same problem, I’m surprised your company has apparently not responded with a solution. If one is not provided by this time next year, I’m throwing them out.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and we understand how frustrating this has been across multiple feeders. Replacement bee guards for the Planter Box Hummingbird Feeder (Model 215P) are no longer manufactured and are not available for separate purchase, which is why the ones you’ve tried haven’t fit or sealed properly; they weren’t made for this model’s port sizing to begin with. Since port diameters do vary slightly between older and newer production runs of this feeder, that mismatch is also contributing to the leaking you’re seeing. We don’t have a compatible replacement guard to recommend for this model at this time, but we’ll make sure your feedback is passed along, as it reflects a recurring concern that’s valuable for the team to see.

I have several of these and agree with other customers. No matter what angle you have them in, they leak and you and cannot find a replacement bee guard that fits. i have bought several different types and not one fits.
The ones that you sell do not fit this model #215P.. What's up with that? Sell a product and the first thing that breaks is the bee guard. With that being said, because they leak through the bee guards, the bees love it and so the hummingbirds refuse to go to it. Surprised that you continue to sell without taking all of the customer reviews into consideration and modifying this model. Good idea, but poorly designed.

I have used these feeders for decades and replace them when needed. It is the only feeder my hummingbirds will use. I’ve tried many other styles and they won’t touch them. I’ve noticed I can no longer find replacement bee guards and now have to purchase the whole feeder. The guards on the two I bought last year broke apart almost immediately and I know can’t use the feeder. Please start selling the replacements again.

This feeder leaks from the feeder spout. Can't imagine no one tested this and didn't find this to be the case... Yet it's being sold. I saw where some folks didn't mind the leaks. But it should be at least mentioned and let the buyer know, and beware. I wonder if an angled feeder spout my work better. Just a thought.
I would not recommend this particular feeder unless you want to continually fill it, regardless of the hummingbirds feeding.
And it's pain to return it!

For those of you who are not happy with the product because it leaked ... there is a simple, easy solution: After filling the bottle with nectar, attach the red base cap first, THEN attach the yellow bee guard. The bee guard prevents (gets in the way of) the base cap from being tightened all the way, allowing the nectar to leak out. It works and the hummingbirds like it too! I have not had any problems with leaking since I reversed how to attach both items.

I am looking for the bee guard for Perky Pet Brand #215P. I have bought #205Y and they are too big!! Maybe this is why the other people have trouble with them leaking! I have never had problems with leaking and we have had these feeders for years but now I can't find the #215P bee guard. Where can I obtain, order or find them?
