Love the ease of cleaning and filling this feeder. It took a few days until the hummingbirds found it, now I have to fill it weekly. I have two more hummingbird feeders, this specific feeder is their favorite!
Perky Pet's extremely informative web site hammers home the necessity of clean feeders and fresh Nectar. In the past my birds had to wait, sometimes several days, for me to clean and refill my one feeder.
Those days are past. With the addition of two red Antique Bottle glass feeders my two feeding stations run 24/7. With three feeders used in rotation, two are in service while the third is being cleaned and, as needed, loaded with fresh Nectar.
Excellent Products. Excellent informative web site. Perky Pet is a true friend of backyard birds; dedicated to their health and safety.
Thank You
I love my red Perky-Pet 8116-2 antuque glass feeder, but sadly, so do the bees. After a 25 minutes wait for customer service, I was told that my feeder has bee guards built in to keep them from the nectar, but that there is no way to keep them from the feeder. I understand, but my lovely humminbirds no longer go near it, and there's so many bees, I can't even go on my patio. I reduced the sugar content in the nectar; I can't really place a bowl of sugar water away from my patio because I'm in the desert and don't want to attract predators. I loved having so many hummingbirds around me but unless anyone has suggestions, I'll be bringing the feeder in for good tonight. So sad!
I am sorry to hear about the hummingbirds! Here are some tips for detering bees:
Capture wasps. Set up a wasp trap, which will focus their attention away from the feeder.
Keep things clean. Limit wasp, hornet and yellow jacket attractants. Seal your garbage cans and thoroughly rinse your recyclables before putting them in their bin.
Relocate feeders. Remove the feeder for a few days, and then hang it up again in a slightly different location. These insects aren’t smart enough to look for their food in a new place.
Watch for leaks. Eliminate any leaks in the hummingbird feeder. The fewer leaks, the fewer chances there are to attract bees.

I wish I could give them more than five stars!

This company deserves five stars for their jelly feeder - my Baltimore Orioles were lining up to get a place on this feeder. Unfortunately, so were the racoons, and they broke the jelly canister. When I tried to order a replacement canister (the base was fine) I was told that my product had a one-year guarantee and a replacement was shipped out that same day. Their customer service is the best around. I've attempted to get Baltimore Orioles for years with a rare sighting this spring. Once I loaded their product with Smuckers grape jelly, we had a bunch, daily! Great product, great company.
Bought this feeder 2 years ago and it was beautiful and worked great for the first season....and then the bottom metal cap that the flowers sprout from rusted on the bottom (top still looks great). Even after cleaning and trying to remove the rust, it keeps coming back. The rust taints the nectar and makes the feeder unusable. The glass bottle is now being used as a vase because I had to throw the bottom feeder contraption away.
Our feeders are all treated to be rust-resistant and we are sorry to hear that this was not your experience. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) with any questions or further feedback. We're happy to help.

Beautiful feeder! Yes the neck is narrow but I fill all my feeders with a funnel so it doesn't bother me. I also used a piece of that thick coated wire to hang it so I don't have to tip it when hanging. It's a really pretty feeder. I love the red bottle! Can't wait to get hummers this year!
