The "bee guard" ports do ...

The "bee guard" ports do NOT keep bees out at all, sadly. I was so hopeful, only to be disappointed, with yet another, "bee guard/bee proof" item, the bees just climb in & out of, ALL. DAY. LONG.
I just cannot win this battle with the bees, for my poor Hummingbirds, getting pushed aside by many bees ????
HELLLPP my poor, precious Hummingbirds ????
I love them so much.

We’re very sorry to hear the bees are still getting into the feeder and bothering your hummingbirds. We know how frustrating that can be, especially when you’re trying to create a safe feeding space for them.
A few things that may help are moving the feeder into a shadier spot, reducing nectar leaks around the ports, and cleaning the feeder frequently to reduce scents that attract bees. Some customers also find success placing a separate shallow water source or bee feeder farther away to distract the bees. We truly appreciate your feedback and your care for the hummingbirds.

How small a hole will the humming birds feed from? (in thousands of a inch?

Your hummingbird feeders attract the birds we love....Thank You! Living in South Carolina, a forest, we need your help to repel unwanted creatures: large black ants and wasp-like flying things. Both fit and crawl through the holes for the nectar. they scare the hummers away. We bought a Perky Pet "GRAND MASTER" hoping the holes to be smaller, still a bug problem. Is there something we can add to the nectar to scare the bugs & not harm the birds? How small a hole will the hummers still use? I have drills to make very small holes. Please reply, thanks.

We're sorry to hear that ants and wasps are a problem! While we don't have any additives we can recommend to deter these insects, or alterations to make to the feeder, try checking it for leaks as this is often what is attracting them. Do these flowers fit the 8109-2 feeder? They have deteriorated. The bottle is in great shape.

Replacement Perky Pet flowers are not recommended for use on a More Birds feeder.

There is NO model number anywhere on the hummingbird feeder. The guards on this model are flat, not rounded like all of the newer ones. Will the newer ones fit my older model?

Hi, thank you for reaching us. The replacement ports with bee guards are for Perky-Pet models 209, 209B, 210P, 210PB, 211, 216, 221, 260P, 262, 409, and 410PB. These replacements will not fit on Model 9202-6.
