Hi there! In order to increase the suction power, we recommend putting a little bit of water on the suction cups. We have passed your comments on to our Product Managers for review, and we are more than happy to assist you further at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) if desired. Give us a call!

Watch the video to keep it on your window. By Maine bird gal

Product is 5 star but lack of instructions don't help customers get the best of this little feeder. It's critical to watch the instructional video to see how to mount it so it won't fall off the window. They're not printed on the package or on the website, but the video does show how. The birds love my perky pet feeders, both hanging and window mounted.

LOVE this feeder By Patti

Having a very clean window lets the suction cups stay put. It's only common sense. I have no problem with our 2 feeder staying put. For easier cleaning, I would like the glass opening to be a bit larger but I understand why it isn't. Please do NOT discontinue the production of this feeder. I much prefer this one over the other window feeder. Sitting in our chair by the window right at eye level is a wonderful way to watch the hummers come to the feeders to drink.

How to stop the window feeder from sliding down By El Banko

Ordering a replacement for the WINDOW glass feeder because the sun has finally deteriorated the plastic bottom. 1. I agree that the plastic on the window feeder mount should be thinner OR the suction cups deeper! I use a very small amount of Vaseline jelly on the suction cups and that helps hold except you often get the mount with feeder sliding down the window pane! Read On... 2. I finally made a way to stop the suction cups/feeder sliding down the window pane. Blue masking tape! - I used a 2 inch long piece and put a 1/4" fold along one of the long edges of the tape. The tape I used is 1 1/2 or 2 inches wide. With that fold on top part of take I then put the blue tape on the window right at the bottom of the feeder so slippage of the feeder is quickly stopped. I did this five months ago in mid-winter. Rain and low temps did not affect the tape and it still prevents the feeder suction cups from sliding down the window when you fill with liquids. Hope this helps...

Give your customers a chance to use it properly. Ship with recommendation to view website. By Gary

If you found your way to this website, you are lucky because this feeder comes with no instructions for the necessary disassembly required for mounting, and the packaging does not direct customers to view the website prior to mounting. I am a Mechanical Engineer with 9 us patents and I would have risked damaging the assembly if trying to figure it out on my own. With proper direction it works well

not very happy will try again! By Rude Willy

I, as others, have had great difficulty getting this item to stay on the window. I have other window feeders that have no issue. I cleaned the window with an ammonia based cleaner and the suction cups as well, made sure they were dry, and it fell off. I lightly moistened the suction cups and watched it slide down the window. These are durable after 15, 8 foot falls to grass below, no damage. I will try the suction cup massage, but it seems that the plastic ridges around the suction cups won't allow the air to be pressed out. Possibly, the ridges could be shorter to allow the suction cups to be pressed fully to the window. Also the suction cup massage therapy could be added to the package. Thanks

Great product! By Patti

Love these feeders. Have had them for at least 5 year. The suction cups are just now starting to get tired.. However after reading reviews and recommendations, I think I'm going to have hubby do some window cleaning etc. I'm too short. Regardless, I'm ordering more. We have resident hummers in the Pacific Northwest that need looking after..

Fantastic feeders By Dan

We love these feeders. We have 2 mounted directly above each other. They are very well made, and with a little care, they last a long time. A proper sized bottle brush will clean the glass bottle as well as the red base. We have 12 hummers that are constantly jockeying for position to feed. Sometimes 8 will share the feeders, 2 at each perch, sometimes they won’t share. They want it all. We mounted ours to the shady side of our deck post to avoid the sun causing damage to the red base. We highly recommend these feeders.

Great window feeder but needs to have heavier suction cups By Tom

Had this feeder for 5 years and it finally couldn’t hold any longer and fell. Tried to find new suction cups that were big enough but to no avail. Nothing strong enough. I only put one cup in the feeder. With it full I had to check the suction cups a few times a day to make sure it would hold and push in to ensure I had good suction. Must have a clean window service. Cleaned both the glass and cups each time I made new food. To bad I couldn’t get new cups or the feeder would still be up on my window or I would give it a 5 ⭐️ star. To bad Perky Pet didn’t have replacement suction cups available to purchase as the do for other feeders.

Q.Where can I get replacement flowers for the 455-2 humming bird feeder? I have a feeder that has this type of flower and I can't find them anywhere.

We are sorry, replacement parts are not available for this model and the replacement flowers that we do offer will not accomodate this feeder.

Q.I have Gila Woodpeckers that like to steal a snack from my HB feeders, are the suction cups strong enough to support their weight as well?

While we do not have exact testing information to say for certain whether the feeder will support the weight of a woodpecker, in order to get the stongest suction out of the suction cups, we recommend wetting the cups slightly with water before placing it on a clean window.

Q.A couple of years ago I purchased a Perky Pet Window Mounted Hummingbird Feeder A few days ago the plastic back of it -- on which the two suction cups are mounted -- broke. Fortunately the feeder itself which is made of glass did not break when it fell. Do you sell this plastic back part separately? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Replacement parts for this feeder are not available, however, it is covered by our 1-year replacement policy. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-855-PERKYPET (1-855-737-5973) for assistance, we're happy to help!
