The annual fall and spring bird migrations can bring many new visitors to your feeders. This guide will help you ID the migratory and resident birds that visit your feeders while teaching you more about them. Each entry in the Migratory Bird Guide includes the following information:
Name & Scientific Name:
The bird is listed by its most common name and its scientific name. That information is followed by a photo to help you identify the bird.
North American Flyways:
There are four North American flyways that birds commonly use to migrate. The Pacific Flyway traces the Pacific Coast from South America to Alaska. The Central Flyway generally follows the Rocky Mountains. The Mississippi Flyway runs along that river and its tributaries. The Atlantic Flyway goes along the Eastern Seaboard.Most of the species include multiple flyways in their listings. These species have been recorded as using more than one of the North American Flyways.
