Song Sparrow

Interestingly, the male Song Sparrow attracts females and defends his territory through his vocalizations. He uses both his songs and aggressive actions to deter other males from entering his territory.

Found all over North America from Canada through Northern Mexico, there are 39 subspecies of Song Sparrow throughout its range.
