The More Birds® Two Cake Suet Buffet with Weather Guard is the perfect way to offer healthy treats
to woodpeckers, nuthatches, chickadees and more! 2 independent cages hold 1 suet cake each
and feature an easy-open, double-locking closure system. Its shingle-patterned roof design diverts rain &
snow, helping keep suet cakes dry. Its cage grid is designed with clinging birds in mind, but it’s not just for
suet! It’s also perfect for small seed cakes, nesting materials in spring & oranges in summer. Constructed of
solid steel with a weather-resistant, brown powder-coated finish, the Two Cake Suet Buffet is a quality suet
feeder that birds will love.
Cleaning: Dirty bird feeders spread disease. We recommend cleaning your feeders weekly, or
monthly at a minimum. Do not put your feeder in the dishwasher as the high temperatures can permanently damage the
feeder parts. Clean your feeders outdoors with a large bucket, and always wear gloves when cleaning. Soak your
feeder in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach for 15 minutes. Then use a bird feeder brush to scrub the feeder with
dish soap and water. Refill when completely dry.
I have had a terrible time with the squirrels raiding my suet feeders for years. This is my first double cake feeder. I only put out 1/4 cake on each side to test the squirrels. They let it alone! Maybe it's the weight, maybe it's the roof, maybe it's the more secure latch, but whatever it is, I'm happy with it. And I have some small woodpeckers visiting.
This is the first time offered suet cakes to birds. When I received the Two Cake Suet Buffet Bird Feeder with Weather Guard, I immediately saw it was made with quality. When I went to purchase 'cakes,' I wondered if the slightly different sizes of cakes (that I wanted to attract different birds I observe in my yard) would fit in the feeder. They do with a bit of room to spare. During purchase, More Birds Customer Service was awesome and accommodating to some issues I was having regarding also ordering gaskets for a glass, liquid, hummingbird feeder that I have been using for years.
This is a really high quality feeder compared to the other ones/brands I have tried which aren't as solid or difficult to open/rust. Birds can easily access the suet, and I can easily replace the cakes too, so it is a win/win for all. Strong recommendation for this feeder.
Well made, well designed feeder which can handle two single slabs of suet. I’m trying the variety pack of suet to isolate which my local birds prefer. Anyway……buy this feeder if even for the low price.
This suet feeder had been up 2 days and a creature other than a bird
had figured out how to open it and clean out the contents. I had hoped for better performance
(I wrote a review shortly after I bought this, but don't see it. Now, several weeks later, I wanted to update.)
This little feeder has brought so many new birds to my backyard (actually, to my deck rail near the 2-cake suet feeder). Some of the larger birds were probably already there in the small wood lot that I see from my deck; they were just not close enough for me to see their awesome, colorful markings close up! There are new, small birds that I never saw in my region. I'll be pulling out old, little reference books to look them up and add notes & dates on the pages like my ancestors did!
