Attract a wide variety of birds with the More Birds® Acorn Screen Bird Feeder! Its innovative design features 4
ports, a seed screen and a seed tray with plenty of perching space so multiple birds can feed in their most
natural positions, whether clinging to the screen, perching and even upside-down! The bird feeder features an easy
twist-off top and base for convenient filling and cleaning. Built-in drainage holes help to keep seeds dry, while the seed diverter
design keeps fresh seeds moving into feeding areas. The metal seed ports are removable for thorough cleaning, and
the durable steel screen has a seed capacity of 2.8 lb to keep hungry birds happy and coming back for more. With
an elegant "acorn cap" metal cover motif and vintage green speckled gold powder-coated finish, the Acorn Screen
feeder is the perfect way to make your birds' day!
Cleaning: Dirty bird feeders spread disease. We recommend cleaning your feeders weekly, or
monthly at a minimum. Do not put your feeder in the dishwasher as the high temperatures can permanently damage the
feeder parts. Clean your feeders outdoors with a large bucket, and always wear gloves when cleaning. Soak your
feeder in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach for 15 minutes. Then use a bird feeder brush to scrub the feeder with
dish soap and water. Refill when completely dry.
I like it. Very easy to fill and easy to wipe off bird deposits. However, I have a black bird and house sparrow problem. Today, I filled it to the top and less than 3 hours later, it was empty. I am going to figure out how to place it inside a cage. I know that will eliminate the red bellied woodpeckers, cardinals and probably the nuthatches, but I can't afford going through a 40 lb. bag of black oil sunflower seed every two weeks on just one feeder. So far it seems of good quality and should hold up well.
I love this feeder, ease of use, strong construction and although not squirrel proof the squirrels seem to have no interest in it!! Easy to fill and wash clean! It did very well with bitter temps here in Minnesota and the finish seams very strong. Very Good metals used in this feeder, and I expect to get several years use from it!! Fast shipping and packaging was good also!! Worth every penny and I will be checking into more of their products!! Linda Wagar
The pros are that both perching and clinging birds can use the feeder and a variety of seeds can be used. The cons are that it can't be pole mounted and the seeds spill out the bottom holes onto the seed catcher although this design is probably intentional. Bird poop also can collect in the seed catcher potentially spreading disease. I haven't had it long enough to determine its durability.
