Anna's Hummingbird

The Anna’s Hummingbird was named after Anna Massena, Duchess of Rivoli, a European noblewoman in Italy during the 19th century.

Due to the Anna’s Hummingbird’s high metabolism, they must eat constantly, feasting on nectar and insects to give them the energy they need for flapping their wings at incredible speeds.

Learn about the Anna's Hummingbird, including fun facts, local environments, nesting habits and food preferences.
