Review RateBreaks when feeder falls
Good replacement but breaks when squirrels knock the feeder to the ground.Response From Perky-Pet®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We apologize for this experience.
When squirrels are bothering a feeder, we recommend any of the following squirrel-deterrent measures.
- Place feeders at least ten feet away from launching spots, such as trees or decks, and at least five feet above the ground.
- Install a baffler above hanging feeders or below pole-mounted feeders.
- Add cayenne pepper to the seed. It will not affect the birds since they have no sense of smell or taste, but will repel squirrels.
- Use safflower seed (or add it into the mix). It is nutritious and attracts a large variety of birds, but squirrels dislike it.

Review RatePerfect fit
The replacement parts fit perfectly and the squirrels love it even more. They stretch and quickly devour 2/3 but can't reach last third so sweet birds do get something.
Review RateExtremely Satisfied
The exact part I ordered arrived promptly, fit the bird feeder I had bought a few years ago perfectly, and I couldn't be happier with the product, the service and the price!
Review RateExact ReplacementThis was to repair an old feeder & the pieces exchanged out perfectly. So clear, looks so much better.
Review RateReplacement insertsReally glad to find this....still looking for circular insert for my round cage feeder
Review RateRevived my feedersBought 2 replacements parts for my mothers & mine squirrel free feeders. Keeps the life of the feeders going as the birds love this feeder & we are constantly refilling them.
Review RateGreat featuresI have owned one of these for a couple years. I like being able to purchase replacement parts and not having to replace the whole feeder. I bought my second one a few months ago. I put a different type of seed in the new one and the birds seem to like having a choice. Also, with two feeders, the finches still have a place to eat when the woodpecker comes around.
Review RateGood buying experience.Good product, great customer service. Thanks!!
Review RateGreat feederWe have used the feeder for several years now. Squirrels can get to it but have not as yet been able to gnaw on the seed reservoir! However it seems the environment (UV likely) takes it's toll on the plastic parts. So glad they remain replaceable.
