To securely hang a window feeder, it is important to thoroughly clean your window first. Once clean, moisten the feeder’s suction cups with a bit of water or vegetable oil then apply the feeder to the glass. The moisture will create better suction, so the feeder stays in place

The hummingbirds love this style feeder. I have tried many others but they don't pay them much attention. For some odd reason they just love to fight over this particular brand/type of feeder. I've been using these since 2012 and have purchased numerous times through amazon and also found them locally at a chain hardware store. These are the best feeder to get if you want to see hummers up close at your windows.
The major downside of this brand/feeder is that they don't last. I have been through years and years of these feeders and design changes. They have changed the design of the plastic prongs that hold the top to the base several times. Some for the better, and the current design for the worse. They just break too easily and the fit now is super tight so you have to be extra careful opening it up to not snap them off. To be fair the older designs also broke. I have a whole box of these that I have mixed and matched over the years to try to Frankenstein together another year of feeding out of the various models.
They have also changed to a rubber insert for the feed hole with the most recent design. It is an improvement in that it is much easier to clean now since you can just pop each one out and then jam a toothbrush inside the base and clean it up without the obstruction of the feed tube. The tubes are slightly too long, but you can snip the end off with a sharp scissors.
The landing rail for the birds has always been too thin and weak and that remains with the latest design.
The latest design also has too small of a mounting hole to fit the included suction cup so you have to jam it on there and hope it stays. So far it has.
I will continue to buy them because I am stupid and love to watch hummingbirds.
I hope Perky Pet is working on a redesign. Please do something better with the plastic prongs that hold the bottom to the top. The years you had the single fat prong design lasted the longest.
I’m so upset! I’ve used this model for many, many years, have truly enjoyed them, I put up two! #1: the new suction cups are too big for the feeder, I used a razor blade to slice of bits until it fit. #2: the suction cups have failed on both of them, 1 is now broken :(, the other is salvageable, I think, I haven’t tried it again, I’m scare it will end up getting smashed too! I’m so sad! Do you have replacement cups that actually fit and stick securely to the window, help please?!

I have used this feeder for years but they all eventually fail at the red clips that hold the reservoir to the base. In most cases one clip tends to keep them together but eventually the last one breaks away and it's time to buy a new one. Doesn’t even make one summer.

I just received my order of the #217. Not my first rodeo with this model and you have somehow figured that the customer has got to continue to wrestle with the suction cups that have a post that is to big to get the feeder hung on it properly. Jerk a knot in someones sail and get this straitened out. And don't suggest to hang it on a nail or screw,,,it is a WINDOW MOUNT FEEDER. I do not recommend this model with oversized suction cup mount.

The newer ones somebody forgot to see if the suction cup fit the feeder. I used to buy these around 6-10 at a time and give them away but i don't anymore because you can't window mount they should say mount them to a post or outside. I still like them because i had superglued up old suction cups (otherwise after a short period of time they fall off.

I love the way the suction cup sticks to the window but I don’t like the prongs. Mine broke too and it’s frustrating when you pay money for a product and it doesn’t last.

The hummingbirds in Washington state love this feeder and it is so fun watching them up close.
The hummers are just crazy about this one! I can't believe how much use this one feeder gets, especially since it's a kitchen window & there's a lot of activity in there. They put on quite a show for me chasing after one another. Yes, the prongs have a tendency to break. I had to replace it. But at this price and how popular it is, I'll replace again if I have to.
Unfortunately, we do not sell replacement parts, including suction cups.

I don't have a question but a comment. I have 3 of the window hummer feeders that need bottoms replaced and you apparently don't have replacement parts. It would be helpful if you did.

At this time, Perky-Pet® replacement flowers are not available separately in different colors for the Window-Mount Hummingbird Feeder. The feeder comes with the flowers that are included in the original design, and Perky-Pet® does not offer alternate color options as replacement parts.
