For some reason, the birds are not eating from our Perky-Pet feeder. They land on the perch and then fly away. We have changed the seed and they still don't eat. It has been hanging near other feeders for several weeks and is still full of seeds.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We are sorry to hear that the local birds have not yet visited your feeder. Birds are creatures of habit and can take a few days or weeks to become accustomed to a new feeder in their environment. We recommend placing a shiny pie pan with seed inside below the feeder to help attract birds to that area. Reach out to us via the Contact Us page with any questions.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed in this feeder. It was listed as squirrel proof and it is not. I purchased about 3 weeks ago filled with seed and by the end of the week the cylinder has two big holes one on each side. The flex ports are damaged. Unless I can find a replacement cylinder that is more durable and more flex ports this has been a waste of money based on product recommendations. I would love company feedback or this will probably be my last purchase from your company.

I have totally enjoyed watching the variety of birds coming to this feeder. Imagine my dismay this morning to find one of the ports totally missing! I have only had the feeder about 6 months and being on a fixed income, it was quite an expenditure. I'm really disappointed that the feeder has such easily removable ports. I never would have imagined something so small would totally make the feeder unusable.

We have several of these feeders for both our home and our business. The plastic in the feeding ports do not last very long.(only several months). We really like the feeders they work well, easy to fill, and look great. However, they do not have a replacement for the feeding ports. I do not recommend them at this time. BUT WHEN CONTACTED WAS MADE WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLKS THEYWERE EASY TO DEAL WITH AND MADE THINGS RIGHT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND USE THEM FOR ALL YOUR BIRD FEED NEEDS. I GIVE THE COMPANY A 10 ON A SCALE OF 5.

Very unhappy with this feeder.....wildlife have carried off two of the ports and chewed the remaining ones. Can I purchase replacement ports? It is 8 weeks old.

Nice looking feeder and the birds flocked to it, BUT had it only for a couple of weeks and the wildlife destroyed the perches chewing them off, or pulling them out. Need to beef up the construction using metal perches. Gotta go find a better built caged feeder now.
Poorly made

Purchase this feeder in June 2022...in less than 2 weeks one of the flex ports fell off and all my bird feed fell to the ground. I was unable to repair so I taped the hole...within a few days another fell off. Yes, I foolishly taped that hole and very soon another fell off. Lesson learned. The bird seed I buy is not cheap but the feeder is very poorly made. I hope I can get hold of the makers of this product to get a refund as I never kept the receipt not expecting to need it.

If you have woodpeckers, don't get this. It will not last. Plastic Flexports don't hold up at all... poor design, to have plastic where birds peck through to get to food. In use for less than a month, and a bottom port is broken from pecks, and now all the food flows out of it. I went with Perky-Pet based on an old, all metal, tube feeder from this company. The all metal tube feeder is still going strong after 20 years (red one pictured). The new one is trash in a month. I understand you can buy replacement ports, but if they last a month, it isn't worth anything.
Back to the drawing board and shopping for a quality feeder. I'm very disappointed with Perky-Pet lack of quality.

Unfortunately, this feeder is not squirrel proof and so I have to give it only 3 stars. As a birdfeeder, it is 5-star; as a squirrel resistant feeder, it is 1 star. As another reviewer said, the flexports are accessible through the grid by persistent squirrels, and quickly get chewed on and pulled out. I began covering the grid holes near every flexport with wire "X's" to prevent access by the squirrels, but they still managed to ruin almost every flexport because I didn't realize how far they could stretch their necks inside the grid. There are other design features that do work though compared to other squirrel-proof feeders I have tried. For example, the lid "locks" on and the squirrels cannot access or chew through to the plastic tube. The lid is also big enough to provide protection from the elements so food stays dry.
I am actually writing to give the customer service department 5 stars. I called to ask if they sell flexports so I can replace the ruined ones, and to my surprise, since I purchased the feeder only 2 months ago, they are sending me a whole new birdfeeder! Needless to say, I will immediately wire off the protective grid around the bottom of the new feeder to prevent squirrels from getting to the new ports, but I'm delighted to be able to once again enjoy the tons of birds who come to this feeder. Thank you customer service!
