Leaks in the rain & no clean out possible.
Feb 9, 2021
Looked great until the 1st rain. Rain got in all of the seed and there is no thought given as to how to clean out the feeder! You cannot disassemble and there are seams up both sides and I believe water leaks through the tom as well. I would definitely not buy again!

The good, bad and ugly
Jul 28, 2016
It definitely solved the problem if the white wing doves devouring all the feed, BUT the crossed section between the upper and lower chambers often prevents seeds being distributed to lower chamber. Now the ugly. There is no convenient way to clean the insides. We got three days of rain and now the seeds are compacked inside and there is no way I have found to clean all those nasty seeds out. Have tried digging them out, shaking, and spraying with a jet of water. No luck. Probably headed for the trashcan! Sorry, just not well thought out for long term use.

When I first opened this bird feeder I wasn't too impressed. Seemed cheaply made. I was wrong! This bird feeder attracks smaller birds and holds up well against the elements. I am going to get another one!

This is a very nice-looking feeder, with a faux brushed copper finish and appealing design. It's attractive enough to hang in front of the bay window in our kitchen for all to see! It's all plastic, which hasn't yet proved to be a problem, but it gives it a cheaper feel than a feeder made of glass and metal. However, you don't have to worry about anything rusting, and if the feeder somehow falls, it won't shatter as easily as glass. The adjustable rotating ports are a nice feature, but I find they don't stay in place very well. I wish there was a way to lock them in position. I regularly look out to find them completely folded in, though I'm not sure what causes this...squirrels, perhaps? So I have to squeeze behind the bushes to readjust them more often than I'd like. Also, when you go to fill it up, there is a plastic attachment holding the hook in place which transects the opening to the feeder, and I have to be very careful when pouring the seeds in to keep from scattering them everywhere. It would be nice if there was a way to twist the attachment off while filling the feeder. But overall, I've been very pleased with this bird feeder. I've had it for almost a year, and it shows virtually no signs of wear or weathering. The birds don't seem to have any complaints about it either, as it is frequently emptied! This is an attractive, well-designed feeder, and I highly recommend it!

Amazon Review, Good Feeder - Finches love it...
Oct 2, 2009
The adjustable perches which are suppose to allow you to allow larger birds to feed or distract them, does not work at all. There seems to be notches that allow different settings, but as birds start to clammer over feeding, the perches retract back and do not allow any bird, except those that can hover to feed. I've utilized a rubberband to keep the perches opened....anyway, my 2cents for you. Good luck...

Product has not had any squirrel nor starling activity, so I am very pleased at how it is holding up. The amount of seeds it holds reduces filling requirements. (My last new feeder lasted only 2 months (continuous spiral perch) with multiple starlings cleaning it out daily and squirrels gnawing the metal opening ring completely out and enlarging the openings in the tube so no seeds could be retained.)
